Burn Notice Discussion and Jeffrey Donovan Thunk thread

Hello everyone and welcome to the newly created Burn Notice thread!!

Of all the sites that I'm on, Gateworld is the one that I'm on the most and so I thought I'd create a thread for my most recent favorite show. It's also a thunk thread for Jeffrey Donovan because I'm in total fangirl mode and feel the need to SQUEEEE over him. If you wanna thunk other actors on the show - please do so!! I won't object.

So.... how long have you been watching the show??

I've only been watching for a few weeks and I'm addicted. LOL

Holy crap, I didn't realize there wasn't a thread for this show.

I have been watching since the start of the show. Unfortunately, I have kind of forgotten about it due to the business of this year, and have missed most of the fifth season. I will probably have to wait to get it on DVD before I finally watch it, unless I can find other means.

I searched like three different times and couldn't find one so I made one.

There's a great website that lets you catch up on shows and it even has the most current eps there. It's Watch Series Online. It's where I've been watching the 5th season since Netflix stops after the 4th ends.

Did you pick up in the middle of a season or something?? Netflix has the first four seasons if you haven't seen them otherwise there's always Watch Series Online.

I used Netflix to start from the beginning and catch up to season 4. Love Netflix! I liked Fiona in the beginning and I love her in the 4 and 5th season.. There in between, not so much a fan.

Season 5 finale tonight.... Any thoughts?? I'll have to wait until later to watch it because we don't actually have cable. I might wait until Season 6 has started before I watch it though.. I don't like waiting with cliffhangers.

What's gonna happen to Fionna and Michael? That Anson guy is just creepy as hell. I wonder if Michael will ever stop him. Is Fionna going to prison? Can't believe we gotta wait till summer. That some cliffhanger! Nice seeing Dean Cain on there as a CIA agent.

Okay, finally watched the finale. Inside the spoilers are my thoughts.

Spoiler:

First of all - this wasn't as bad of a cliffhanger as I was expecting. I can see where the Michael/Fiona shippers are probably crying their eyes out but thankfully I haven't really ever been one of those people and, currently, I'm very glad for that. If I were, waiting for season 6 to arrive would have me going CRAZY!!!!

Second - the scene at the loft where Michael and Fiona were arguing over her going to the Feds and turning herself in was almost tear-jerking.. I mean, yes it was emotional on both parts but with how quick Michael seemed to snap out of it and to his normal self makes me wonder if maybe he was partially playing Fiona to get her where he wanted her so he could keep her there and safe. I am in no way knocking Michael with that statement mind you - it was just something that popped into my head.

Third - what was with the look and tone in Sam's voice when he said that he was sorry?? It was almost like he voluntarily let Fi go and she beat him as part of their cover. I mean, I know he said that he agreed with her earlier so I wouldn't put it passed him to release her, wait for her to write her good byes then take a couple blows in order to make things look convincing and let her leave.

Fourth - Not sure what I thought of the "client of the week".. It was kind of a boring aspect, with the exception of course being Dean Cain cuz, that guy is, just, sexy. LOL I mean, I'm glad that Jesse had a roll in the whole thing and at the end when Michael punches Roberts and Jesse's says, "At the risk of getting a knock (or was it beat?) down can I ask what's going on?" - that cracked me up! LOVE Jesse Porter and I'm so glad that Matt Nix decided to add his character and hired Coby Bell to play it.

Fifth - I'm glad that Anson wasn't taken out of the picture in the traditional way. I mean, this guy is the perfect bad guy opposite Michael. He knows how Michael thinks and he knows that Michael will try something else to get Anson's hooks out of him and he makes it so he can't! It's great! I really hope he has a role next season and I wouldn't be too disappointed if Larry wasn't dead either.
