I'm rather confused about how they can resolve that story in the season 2 starter...

1) How do you knock down the Wraith ships.

2) How do you find all the Wraith in the city.

3) How does Everett fall on his face

4) I think what disturbs me most is this buisness about Weir.

That's an all or nothing. Her little stunt (at least I'm reading the spoiler to say that she did that without Everett's permission) has to work or she's now an irrelevent character. But I have trouble seeing the Genii's nukes as a way to really save the day. So given this set up, it seems they've given Weir the impossible task of saving herself, and at least having a key roll ing saving Atlantis.

WTF, we got nukes in every size and yield. Why do we have to go to the Genii for one? Its never a good idea to rely on your enemy for resources even if its in a temporary alliance situation, they always find a way to screw you over. They could have just order one or bakers dozen when they sent those messages.

How hard could it be to add:

Well I am just anoyed that they are making the seige part 2 such a huge cliff hanger, by the looks of it. Unless there is more that the info on the main page isn't telling us (optimistic). Besides in the season 1 section of sga it says, "Earth's new battle cruiser, the Daedalus, is en route. With the Z.P.M. boosting the ships engines, it should arrive within four days." So why can't we atleast get some good hive ship - daedalus action before the season ends. The Z.P.M. doesn't even have to make it to the city. Personally I don't mind about all the other details, but some good old space ship actoin would be a way better way to leave us wanting more in the season finally, but who knows...

Hey! I've been a lurker on this site for a while, but this will be my first post. The spoilers for Siege 2 have finally compelled me to add my own little bit of speculation about this whole Weir business. SPOILERS for Siege 2 and Brotherhood, highlight below to read:

Ok, while going to the Genii for help does seem like an incredibly STUPID thing to do--as someone else mentioned, they must have some nukes on Atlantis already; either the expedition team would have brought some or the rescue mission would have, right?--but I'm wondering if this is all just a set up to have Koya give the Atlanteans a hand. At the end of the Brotherhood, when Sheppard said he wanted points for sparing Koya's life in the future, Koya did nod...maybe Koya will pay off his debt to the Atlanteans now? I, personally, would welcome the development. The Genii have been getting a little annoying lately...it would be a good way to make them a less one-dimensional, stereotypically evil enemy. And I think Koya might have some bizarre kind of honor. He might go right back to being the Atlantis team's sworn enemy again, but I think it's plausible that he might feel owes them for sparing his life. Anyways, I'm crossing my fingers, hoping that Weir's rash actions don't just create more problems for the expedition

You know I remember the cliffhangers from Farscape and it looks like the writers are taking a page from that book.

Come Monday night I will be watching this episode, but im pretty sure after its done im going to be in the 1x20 thread telling others to hold off until S2 starts. These types of half finished stories just p--- me off to no end.

From the sounds of this, 1x20 is simply part 2 of 3/4 and will conclude nothing. Its not a season finale - just a half finished story with a 6+ month wait until next season

(O'Neil doesnt know the capabilities of the Wraith. They defeated the Ancients, they could have that tech.)

They will most likely plant the Nuke inside the Wraith ships and set them off instead of firing them straight at the Wraith ships.

Well why do they send a ship with a ZPM?! They could capture the ship and then plug it in Atlantis. Then we have a whole city of Wraiths coming to Earth. Even if they capture the city, without a ZPM they will have to use the gate. But we have an iris protecting us so that is no problem. And a ZPM if it exploded could destroy a whole solar system.

And I just had a thought...the atlantis team has seriously got to give the wraith the location of the genii....if they're just going to be a part of the problem, not the solution, then they need to be dealt with..the situation is to dire to just keep ignoring them and letting them do their plotting.

I am not looking fword to the wait to see the conclusion however perhaps its in the best intrests of the show in the long run. This way the writers are able to expand on the Seige and include more details and deeper plots. It means that in the Atlantis series the seige of Atlantis will be seen as a huge battle instead of some thing that we all know will be repeated almost every season (ie. SG1).

It sounds to me that the deadalus has been cut out completely. Originally the daedalus was supposed to take out the two wraith hive ships. Now we are using genii nukes? I think it is highly unlikely that we will see the daedalus at all...and even if we do...it wont be until next season. Which royally pisses me off. I have been waiting all season to see the damn daedalus...and now i have to wait for a new season in which they are getting rid of FORD? Its almost hardly worth my time. I AM SO PISSED OFF at the writers right now I could scream...in fact i already have....for like three hours.
