I'd love it!
Stargate Atlantis is in my opinion the greatest science fiction series of all time! Like SG-1, it mixes science with exploration and action sequences, yet SGA has much more awesome technologies, since they have access to all the technologies of the Ancients (so long as they can hold on to their ZPMs!). I love all of the characters in SGA, however my favourite would have to be McKay, because he is clearly the smartest guy around (in terms of raw brainpower, not social skills) and because of his comedic way of portraying his character whilst appearing to act as anyone else would. Also, it brings up interesting situations such as the one in the season 5 episode 'Brain Storm' where he feels he has to prove himself to his fellow scientists on Earth when they mock him for not doing any science, since all his work is highly classified. It makes you feel bad for the guy, but then you remember that what he does over in the Pegasus galaxy is infinitely more important and interesting than anything he could ever have done on Earth.
The one thing I love about Atlantis is like asking what is the best ice-cream in the world. If it's summer and it's hot outside, sometimes any ice-cream is the best.
One of the aspects that I loved was how much thought went into the series. When you start a new series, someone might throughout the book. The writers took the book, SG1, and made it better. Nothing is ever perfect. But, they put their heart and soul into it. Even a character who was supposed to just be one episode, like Todd the Wraith. Todd's line when he looked up at the moon after finally being free really meant something that anyone could relate to. The writers listened to the fans and brought him back, expanded his character, and adding layers to him and (by default) to the Wraith as a whole. I didn't always like what they did, but I always knew they were working hard to entertain us.

"You are more like Wraith than you know."
"I'm not sure I like the sound of that."
"There is much about Wraith that you do not know, Sheppard."
- John Sheppard and Todd, "Common Ground"
"We all agree the Ancients were pretty screwed up. All the ones I met were arrogant and condescending and not for good reason. Now they made giant mistakes and never fixed them." - John Sheppard
The one thing I loved about SGA was the fact that all the actors had such great chemistry together on and off the screen. I will admit that my favorite characters were Sheppard and Ronon, especially when they were in a scene together.
Quick and simple answer.
The thing I loved most on Atlantis was the pier scene in "The Shrine". Best scene ever.
My favorite memory from SGA was when Tealc saw Rohnan use his gun and was like "I'd very much like to have one of those"
I would love to win this prize! It'd give me a nice excuse to introduce Atlantis to my fiance once and for all
The one thing I love about Stargate Atlantis is Rodney McKay!![]()
I loved and miss this show. Never have their been partners so worthy of sharing a show since Starsky & Hutch, Felix and Oscar, and Lavern & Shirley, as Joe Flanigan & David Hewlett when they were on screen together. well worth watching every episode to see their relationship grow.
I've always loved the great team relationships - who wouldn't want to work with them all? A favorite scene that exemplifies this is the pier scene in The Shrine; real feeling, friendship, kindness.
I always looked forward to the non-verbal communication between John and Elizabeth. It showed the level of attention to detail of the writers, the director and of course the actors.
What can I say. Atlantis was an amazing series with a fantastic Cast and Crew. I remember experiencing such sadness during the final episode. Watching for 5 years, you almost feel like these characters become family. To pick one moment is very difficult. I would have to say any replicator episodes would have to be my favorites. To own this incredible series on Blue Ray would be AMAZING!
The one thing I love about Atlantis is the camaraderie between the cast on set and off. When you watch the show, it's literally like you're transported into their world. You see what they see, feel what they feel. The people on the show -every single one of them- are phenomenal actors/actresses. They're also phenomenal real-life people. They're just one big family and I feel like I've been a part of that since the beginning. I grew up on Stargate (not just Atlantis) and I feel like it's a part of my life. A pretty big part. And I wouldn't want it any other way...
oh, why not. Todd the Wraith. Todd is one thing I like about SGA. The wraith you know you can't trust but you keep doing it anyway.
I always loved the Atlantis sg1 crossovers. Especially when the ioa was going to interview Ronan, and tealc had to come in.
Hope MGM pulls it together and continues stargate!
My favorite thing about SGA is the actors who rock and are so accessible to their adoring fans!!!!!!

I love the camaraderie that all of the characters share. You can only get those kinds of close-knitted relationships on screen if the cast and crew are friends off screen. The cast has fun with these characters, and the writers had invested in seeing that each characters unique voice is heard.
The characters was always the best part of Atlantis. Who doesn't love Mckay?
My favorite thing about Atlantis was how the team grew together. Rodney, my favorite character, was a total jerk at first and then later especially with his love interest, he was not half bad but someone they always trusted.
My favorite episode (don't know the title) is where Rodney goes back to a science thing with his old colleagues and has to save the day because they basically stole his paper. Bill Nye was great and the episode was awesome.
I wish it was still on the air.

What I love about Stargate Atlantis is the character Dr. Rodney McKay and teh actor who played him David Hewlett. I loved how he was so not liked in the beginning but then he started to develop real good friendships with some of the people in Atlantis. Like Sheppard they were really good friends through thick and thin. And Teyla, Ronon, Elizabeth, Zelenka and let's not forget Carson Beckett. My all time favorite episode is The Shrine. I think you really see the friendships come through and I cry every time I watch it. David Hewlett did an awesome job!!!!.
Hey, gang!
We generally don't announce contest winners publicly, since it requires securing their permission, etc., which I didn't do. Suffice it to say that the winner has been drawn, contacted, and the prize is on the way to his/her mailbox.
Thanks everybody for entering! It was fun to read everyone's favorite Atlantis memories. Hopefully we'll continue to be able to offer cool prizes like this in future contests.
