I loved the SGA gang's interactions. They felt a lot like family.

Best moment? Still has to been any of the amazing wide shots of the city of Atlantis. Coupled with Joel Goldsmith's music they have a great feeling of wonder.

One thing I love about Stargate Atlantis? Well there couldn't be a tougher, nor easier question.

I guess I'll just go with something I was thinking about the other day: I love how Stargate Atlantis looks so slick. What I mean by this can be illustrated through the example of the Atlantis Control Room vs. the SGC's. While the SGC's is hundreds of feet under ground, dark, filled with super computers and a MacGyvered gate-dialing system, Atlantis's is hundreds of feet above the city - bright, simple, and clean with the style of the Ancients.

And that's one thing I love about Stargate Atlantis

I have always loved Stargate...

One thing I loved about Stargate Atlantis in particular is the space battles, I loved it when everyone teamed together to take out the replicators.

Well, if I had to limit to one thing I love Atlantis it is this: It was different yet familiar.

When Atlantis came around, it was in the midst of the Anubis storyline is SG1 and there really wasn't room for much else. Fortunately, with Atlantis, we got new stories, in a new setting, with a new cast. As time went on, the core cast developed their brand on teamwork and even team shorthand. We still had the arch-types that we knew in SG1 but, beneath the surface, they couldn't be more different.

This is a tough one, but I would say one of the things I really love about SGA was David and Kate Hewlett's performances in The Shrine. Truly an amazing episode! Brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it.

My favorite memory of SGA is from season 1...when Dr. McKay find the Atlantean personal shield (Hide and Seek).

First, there was all the ways to "test" it. The look on Shepard's face when he bragged about shooting Rodney is priceless. Then the look on McKay's face when he got punched and they guy didn't even pause or hold back "You didn't have to swing so hard. And notice that he didn't even hesitate!" *LOL*

Second, was when Mckay realizes he can't eat or drink and later faints and he's like "I passed out from... manly hunger."

Then there is when the entity starts killing people & Weir suggests that McKay do the Life-risking deed & the shield falls off. First thing he does is go get a drink. And then Weirs reaction to it falling off "I had a feeling." *L*

And then the finale when McKay steps up and goes for it. After the entity goes through the Gate, they find that that he passed-out to save him some dignity since he was so brave.McKay fainted, but Shepard says Sheppard: "You must have passed out" and McKay replies "Oh. Well, thanks for saying the other thing."

One thing that I loved in the Atlantis series was the scene where McKay and Sheppard were racing their remote controlled cars down a supposedly deserted hallway.

I loved this show and still watch them everyday. What i love about the show is how in the face of danger they still made u laugh at MaKay's *****ing or sheppard's flirting. ronon Shoot first ask question later, Tala's ability to use too many words in one sentance to say a simple phase. One of my fav eps. was "The brotherhood" when sheppard and MaKay aruged about the metsa test and club while solving the number problem for the zpm.. Or my top Fav ep. when ronon got kidnapped and john said to tayla "i would do anything for any of you". I also love how the writers never said "oh this is too much" and kept great stories coming, the different camers shots birdseye views of atlantis on the water. Just a well produced and directed show. the cast had a great chem. even when case member left or switch (Dr. weir,woosy, or sam) as head of the atlantis crew.

What I enjoyed most about Stargate Atlantis is that they gave more life to some of the lesser known characters in the Stargate TV franchise. Dr. McKay, Richard Woolsey...sure they recast the part of Elizabeth Weir from the season 7 SG-1 finale, but you got to see that character take her own stage. You even had the character of Samantha Carter break out on her own and prove she can take a prominent leadership role.

I suppose summing it up, the fleshing out of secondary characters and growth of an SG-1 original is my favorite thing about the series.

I always liked the fight scenes with Ford. Some of the best in SG, in my opinion. Then came Ronan and I enjoyed his fight scenes as well... but the best was Ford and Ronan, back to back, taking on a swarm of Wraith.

One thing I love about Atlantis is the sense of wonder that comes from discovering all of these new alien races and new technologies in this distant part of the universe. After the many seasons of SG-1, it was great for them to get a chance to get a fresh start and build out some new lore.

I love Stargate Atlantis. At first I was skeptical of a an SG-1 spin off but I stuck with the characters and ended up loving it just as much.

Once Dr. Carson Beckett died and I was crushed, I realized how much the show meant to me. Thanks for 5 great years!

My favorite thing about Stargate: Atlantis was the friendship that developed between Sheppard and McKay over the five years. They started out not getting along that well but by the time you get to The Shrine it really is quite touching to see how much they care about each other. For me, they were the Kirk and Spock of Stargate, albeit with a lot more humor. Even the little moments like when they would be racing remote control toy cars through Atlantis showed how much they had bonded over the five years.

I loved anything Ancient in the Stargate franchise, and Atlantis was the bee's knees (the ori story arc was pretty cool, but just couldn't compare with the tech the Atlantis Expedition found in Pegasus).

My favorite episodes were the time travel ones. I especially liked the 2 part episode where John Sheppard was sent 10,000 years into the future.

I liked how the writers were never afraid to think big.
1 Wraith Hive ship? How about 12?
Can't escape the mega-laser burning out the shields? Fly the city to another planet!
Unknown aliens breach the city and steal special guest star and formerly ascended being Daniel Jackson? Surprise! They're bad Asguard (bAsguard)!

Despite the epic space battles, and amazing plot twists, the characters were able to not take themselves too seriously (I'm thinking of the Kirk references specifically).
