I love Stargate: Atlantis because it was a fun show. Sure it had its ups & downs but so does every other show. No show is perfect. But it was very enjoyable & a worthy addition to the Stargate franchise

I loved the episode Sateda! It really made me come to love the character of Ronan and showed how the team will never give up.

I love the way Stargate in general always built their story around our real history and mysteries, like the pyramids as landing pads and how did they have the technology to build pyramids back then. It makes you think that this could really be happening right now!

With Atlantis the characters fit perfectly, the sets and technology ideas are well thought out and blend perfectly. This is overall why I've been a fan of Stargate and definitely Atlantis. Any show that puts as much thought into the writing, casting, directing, etc will always get my attention and thumbs up.

Favorite Character has to be Rodney.

So many quotes with either Beckett or Rodney to choose one would be hard but here is a random one that made me laugh:
Weir: I'm still trying to understand how you thought it was a good idea to test this device by having someone throw you off a balcony.
Rodney: Oh, believe me, that's not the first thing we tried.

There are so many great team moments in the show that make you feel like your watching a true family of friends. One of my favorite moments between Sheppard and Ronan was during Search and Rescue. The scene where Sheppard and Ronon are about to be discovered by hybrids and decide to go down shooting. The lines they give right before getting transported out held a lot of weight and it reminded me of how much the whole team has been through, yet they always had eachother to rely on. This episode was some of Joe Flanigan's best acting.

The thing that I liked most is that they were not all perfect people. The had short comings that they had to deal with and(Mostly) overcome. And they still saved the day!!!

My favorite part of SGA has always been the interaction and chatter between the characters. It was like watching a family grow together, bicker sometimes, but always be there for you when the chips were down.

And... the classic line from Jack (in "The Return") after he finds that PLAN C (as in C4) is to blow up the shield generators so that the Daedalus can drop a nuke on them... "Sounds more like PLAN F, doesn't it? As in We're totally......"

What a great run all 3 series had. Still in mourning....

My favorite character is no doubt McKay. I've seen every episode/movie of the franchise, still sad that it's over. Hopefully it will return one day. Stargate still has so much more potential.

I truly loved the whole franchise but Atlantis was the best part of the whole thing. The technology, the people, the enemies, the setting, were all perfect. If I had to pick one single thing that I loved most of all it was the family moments and perfect interaction between the characters/cast. They worked together perfectly. The McKay/Sheppard humorous moments especially but still all the characters were flawless together. Even when they switched out main characters, ie Weir to Carter to Woolsey and Beckett to Keller. They all meshed perfectly. I have too many favorite moments from the series to pick just one. However the moments with family are my absolute favorite, McKay and his sister and McKay with Teyla in labor!

My one favorite thing about Stargate Atlantis is how it so effectively uses the science fiction narrative and setting to make for such great, human storytelling. It's a show about a group of intrepid explorers wandering through a distant galaxy facing a formidable enemy (or enemies), but at the end of the day it all relates back to the human existence. That is the pinnacle of science fiction, if you ask me. My two favorite episodes, "Common Ground" and "Before I Sleep" epitomize this, and they are some of my most memorable moments in all of entertainment.

one of my favorite episodes of the stargate franchise was SGA's episode "MIdway" where we finally have the muscle of SG1, Teal'c, and the muscle of SGA, Ronon, fight it out and then team up at the end. All the crossovers were great on SGA.

Also, even though it was open ended. I thought the series finale was a good full circle for the city to return to earth. Even though i wish they would have made the movie.

hmmmm ... my fave thing ...

has to be the beginning ... the first ep when Jack and Shep colide, ahhhh!!! great stuff. John is a mini Jack of sorts but still his own unique being. Enough similar ... enough different .... it made for awesome stuff. it was like a wonderful handoff that made me smile, snicker and excited to see what was still to come.

one thing i love about Stargate Atlantis has to be Dr. Rodney McKay. I love his I'm so much smarter and better type of attitude. He knows he's the best, but can also recognize when he's being a jerk and tried his hardest to admit his faults even when he really doesn't want to. He can be the scaredy cat, but also have his moments of bravery and self sacrifice. He's a character that truly did have a great arc from his small beginnings on SG-1 to his full blown break out role through all of Atlantis and I enjoyed seeing that character grow.

I loved the characters and the great scenes between them. My favorite: the scene between Weir, Sheppard and McKay in Hide and Seek where Sheppard throws McKay off the balcony.

Sheppard: "I shot him.....in the leg!"

I'll never forget the absolute thrill I got as I watched the pilot when the city itself came to life and rose up out of the depths of the ocean. The music. The visual effects. The awe-struck wonder of the people who'd just stepped through the gate into this great unknown. It was brilliant. It took my breath away then, and it still stirs me whenever I watch The Rising. Best. Pilot. Ever.

as hard as it is to pick only one thing about stargate atlantis, i would have to say the "midway" episode this episode contained my favorite fight sceen... teal'c and ronon! what a match up. thanks for having the contest. i hope i win!
