Have to agree. As brilliant as he is, he's also so full of himself sometimes, like McKay, but in a bad way. The guy needs to work on his attitude a little.

Being down to earth and full of oneself are not antonymous of each other. I consider McKay as down to earth, parallel universe Rod told him as much in their conversation, but that doesn't stop him from being arrogant as heck. With Eli, though, he can come off as a bit of a brat sometimes.

I can't say I agree. If anything I'd say he has low self esteem, he didn't even think that the SGC would want him if they ever got home.
