    Still no Sensorites DVD?
Teselecta: "Silence will fall when the question is asked."

Doctor: "And what is the question?"

Teselecta: "How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?"

    Doctor: " *Brainfart* ".

Not in any region afaik. I believe a commentary track has been recorded, so it's in the works. But no projected release yet.

I like to look at the Classic DVDs online, but I don't own any of "Classic" Who yet. Although I am contemplating getting the movie with the 8th to start off.

I think I might not get A Christmas Carol when it is released, I'm wondering if it will be part of the "complete sixth series" set that is inevitable to be released months and months and months from now.

That seems very likely to me; it's what they've done in the past.

Is that bad news I wonder?

My guess is that that has to do with Netflix's licensing rather than any release issues, since The Dominators is already on shelves.

I just found out that for the Mara Tales DVD release (Kinda & Snakedance), the big goofy snake puppet is going to be replaced by a CGI model.

I wasn't aware that George Lucas had become involved with Doctor Who

Damn. I liked the big goofy puppet when I saw it on VHS for the first time. Really hoping it would have been kept in for the DVD release.

The Reign of Terror, Vengeance on Varos added to DVD release schedule
Friday, March 04, 2011 - Posted by Chuck Foster

Two new titles have been announced by 2|Entertain for the Doctor Who DVD schedule.

This afternoon saw the company reveal that First Doctor story The Reign of Terror would be released sometime next year. This will be the first incomplete story to be released on DVD since The Invasion back in 2006, with episodes four and five still missing from the BBC Archive. It is currently unclear whether this story would receive the same CGI animation reconstruction for the missing episodes like the Troughton tale, a telesnap reconstruction like the VHS release of The Tenth Planet back in 2000, or some other form, with the company merely stating via their @ClassicDW Twitter feed that:
.. REIGN OF TERROR! To be released as complete as can realistically be achieved. Likely late 2012.

During this evening DrWho Online revealed that the other release to the schedule is the Sixth Doctor adventure Vengeance on Varos, which forms part of the Revisitations strand of previous DVDs receiving a makeover and new lease of life. The announcement of the story follows on from 2|Entertain canvassing for opinion on a potential release when DVD schedules were published by Doctor Who Magazine in January.
