1/87 scale gate model

Hi Everybody,

I plan on constructing a scale (1:87) model of a stargate for my HO scale train layout. The only size models available for purchase are 1:35 or 1:25, both of which are too big (and not cheap either). I have guestimated that the actual scale dimensions of the gate itself are:

Outer diameter = 22 feet
Inner diameter = 19 feet
Ring thickness = 2.5 feet

Does anyone have the exact measurements, or are these pretty good?

I am planning on using red-orange LEDs for the chevron lights.
