STARGATE OMEGA
Stargate Omega is a play-by-post Roleplaying forum, set as a fourth arm of the Stargate franchise.
THE BASICS:
BASIS:
Earth sends a team of intrepid explorers go on a one way mission - further out into space than ever before with the exception of the Destiny Expedition. Further out than Ida, Pegasus, and Othalla. Further even than the Ori Galaxy.
SIM SETTING:
Omega Base, Whirlpool Galaxy
PROXIMITY TO EARTH:
23 Million Light years away from Milky Way Galaxy.
HOW TO GET THERE:
The team are sent through the gate which completely depletes a ZPM.
It would take over a month to get there in a ZPM powered 304, which too would completely deplete the ZPM. It is a one way trip.
THE BASE:
An Ancient Outpost which is older than the City Ship of Atlantis but not as old as the Destiny. The base of operations for the Lantians in the Whirlpool Galaxy. The team of Ancients there were recalled back to the Milky Way and Pegasus Galaxies during a time of war.
