I would not be surprise if Joe leaves the production for season 3, he got a comic book heading to production, he constantly talking about loosing his writing partner for the show an he continually talking about flodging of his film scripts an pilot TV shows.

An even I think the franchise could do with a few fresh writers, I just hope one of them will maintain a blog like Joe does.

I hope he does. I mean I like the guy, but I'm not the biggest fan of his writing. I can fit my entire body in most of the plot holes in his SGU episodes.

that twitter one is AWFULLY encouraging! I just hope its legit. If a rumor was to start, i'd expect it to be through some channel that way so i hope hope hope hope its true!

I would love for the writing staff of the franchise to cycle out. Most of the current staff writers have been on and off with the franchise since SG1 and it shows, imo.

More power to the SG1/SGA writers who left the franchise, instead of getting caught up in something they thought would be a safe bet.

I don't know whether the links are wrong or my computer is acting up, but both links take me to the same post that has nothing to do with rumours of either renewal or cancellation. It's just more of that "SGU's renewal wouldn't be fair to SGA fans" BS.

However that tweet, if indeed true, is very encouraging!

Joe wrote some jewels, especially when he started on SG-1, and "Divided", "Subversion", "Trial and Error" and "Resurgence" are some of my favourite SGU episodes, but on the whole I agree. I'm not the biggest fan of his writing either and I wouldn't mind seeing him leave. Then again, for me Brad Wright is the only guy on the writing stuff who absolutely has to stay; I don't really care about the others. Plus I enjoyed the episodes written so far by the freelance writers in season 1 and Aubuchon in season 2.

Umm..to be more on topic, I haven't heard any rumours, but I keep my fingers crossed for the good news.

Very true. Whether people like JM or not, the ability to contact a writer in such a way and not only be assured that your comment will be seen but likely answered, is as rare as hen's teeth. I wouldn't chuck that away for anything.

If I were to translate that line, I would consider the factor that it was made on December 6, 2010. When a new year is on the horizon, people generally try to keep optimistic about the future.

Other words, "Okay, I’m just going to enjoy myself. Next year, everything changes!" means "I'm going to think differently and more optimistically about how I do things. Even though I might have had a rough ride in 2010, I will overcome my obstacles by making some serious changes."

You can also translate it as, "If we return for a third season, we are changing the tone of storytelling."

I don't see it being in reference to a show cancellation.

I'm sure someone could probably call bridge studios and ask the availability to rent on of the stages for a week or something like that for an independent movie during the timeframe SGU would be filming.

Seem's too simple to me, so it probably wouldn't work.

If he's unreliable, then that guy who nobody knows who only has one post at the syfy forums that claims he's seen the cancelation announcement is way more unreliable.
