There is some lovely email correspondence between them and their thoughts about each other. I like it. Always been a fan of this ship.

Yep. Me too. Trying not to get too caught up so I can draw it out over a few days, rather than suck it down in one sitting.

They're not on the same planet, so it's all their emails and their thoughts of one another. Like this:

    Spoiler:

Sam sat down at her desk and took a deep breath, looking up at the pictures held to the metal wall above with cheerful magnets in the shape of bright colored flowers. Cassie in her graduation gown. Daniel in a floppy hat and wire rimmed glasses, Teal'c looking inscrutable beside him in the light of some alien sun -- that was an old one, that picture. Daniel didn't look much like that anymore. Jack in his baseball cap, sitting on the end of his pier with a fishing rod in his hand, looking straight at the camera with a sideways smile.

This was the email she never sent. But it was there, in case someone else needed to send it.

    October 16, 2009

    Dear Jack,
I'm not sorry. I don't regret any of it, not one minute, not one second. Not ever.

You know what happned last night? I finished it! Ahhhhh!

    Spoiler:
so what do you think that ancient instaation is? To me, i think it may be a lab of sorts where the Ancients created the Wraith, however accidentally. Also that mght explain the missing equipment and the lack of records. I mean for crying out loud, in Bloodties
    Spoiler:
they had been on that dino planet thousands of years before they had started to seed the rest of Pegasis.
I am begining to dislike the Ancients the more i read and rewaatch the series. What the crap! Humans and Wraith only being failed experaments! They...... i am mad at a fictional race are't I?

Goram Ancients not even trying to do anything qbout their messes.....

Yes, Zombies, Cats, and Wraith... Now, what would happen if there were Zombie Wraith, or Wraithy Cats?

And greetings from Hive Desert Wind. And that might make since if you factor in the four corners.

    Allele frequencies are annoying.

Oh yeah and don't feed during a zombie apocalypse the wont leave you alone.....

I was going to take my time but I just couldn't (weak I know) but I just had to find out what was happening, I am rereading it so I will take my time and savour it a lot more.

There's a great idea. Rereading it. I think I'll do the same.

I think rereading the entire series would be good too. Oh and I'm still mad at the Ancients.

Woohoo! The Furies is finally listed on Fandemonium's website! (Paperback plus postage to the UK works out at £12.70 at the current rate)!

Quick question for anyone else with The Furies. Does it end with the Hammond jumping into hyperspace? It seems a bit abrupt, so I'm wondering if there was a problem with my download.

That's where mine ended. Great cliffhanger, huh?

Yes, clearly a cliffhanger, but also pretty satisfying as well! It reminds me of (reading about) the way books used to be serialized in newspapers or old-time radio shows. Tune in next week and all that stuff, right? It's a damn long story arc but despite a few quibbles I have with characterization (I guess we all see the characters through our own personal glasses) I really, really love where this series is going/has gone. It's a fun romp.

I've just read that bit and here are my thoughts on it.

1: Horses being used in warfare during a period when there were guns and cannons isn't specialist historical knowledge. I'm guessing that everyone in the US knows something about the American Civil War, for example.

2: Teyla mentions Pegasus horses being too small for cavalry use and Sheppard agrees with her because he's seen Pegasus horses.

3: It's been established that the Ancients transferred Earth humans to Pegasus thousands of years ago so it's logical to assume that the little Pegasus horses were domestic animals who were transferred too. They aren't big enough to ride so it's also logical to assume that Earth humans bred horses to be bigger. The Pegasus humans never got round to doing this.

4: Sheppard has seen bigger horses in the Milky Way galaxy when he visited a planet which had been under the protection of the Asgard. He guesses that this planet had been seeded during Earth's Middle Ages. Horses being used for warfare during the Middle Ages isn't specialist historical knowledge either.

I just wanted to order "The Furies" as a printed book (I don't own a Kindle or something like it).. .and what happens?
The page won't let me pay it

Is there another shop where I could buy it as a printed version except for Fandemonium?

Have finished The Furies and I really enjoyed it. I can really imagine this as a season 6 of the series. The cliffhanger was really good, but now I'm really hanging out for the next book.

Does anyone know the date of release for Book 5 - Secrets?

It's supposed to be at the end of August. I hope that actually happens!

Woohoo! Arrived home today, having been away a few days & discovered that my copy of The Furies has finally arrived!

Sadly it looks like it's had three shades of s**t kicked out of it, I've waited so long to read it (plus expense/hassle of returning) I'm gonna have to put up with it ... Come on Fandemonium, you charge enough to ship to the UK perhaps you should start packaging the books better - for example in the cardboard wraps Amazon use (& not a thin Jiffy/loose jiffy bag)!

Anyway, guess what I'm doing tomorrow ... happy reading to me!
