Gateworld.net & Forums - Outages and Related issues

as you will be no doubt aware, there have been a number of outage on the GW.net & Forums over the last few months.

We are going to be making some changes to rectify this (hopefully) from early AM Monday the 1st of November.

The changes will happen as follows:

1st November - Forums changed to different server
7th November - Main site changed to different server

There shouldn't be any downtime when the changes occur, however there may be delays with emails coming through.

Lucian Alliance seem to bomb us every time there is a new episode on, so we are moving the servers deeper in the basement.

Work from my end done. You may have noticed some glitches with the forums.

It will take 48 hours to roll over to the new Server - in which time email notifications will be down.

I understand it may take time to go through the little problem but is it possible to get back those links that appear at the bottom of the thread that link back to things like the Forum Annocuments folder and main forum. Its still at the top of the thread but disappeared from the bottom

things like that are hacks that darren put in. so he'll have to redo them

besides the bottom link things missing i quite like the forum this way

the icon/buttons that are supposed to send you to the first unread post from the thread listings do no work.

its infuriating - though I know not your fault. lol

Unread post icon not directing to the correct page is a bug, and will be fixed soon.

I don't know if this is the appropriate place to post this, but there's another bug. I can't access anything past page 1 of my friends list. Whenever I try, I get sent back to the visitor messages tab. I don't have that many with 40 people but for those who have more, this does present a problem. Thanks in advance.
