An interesting addition, but I'm not sure I buy it. A lot of that seems rather arbitrary, and other parts look like they're based primarily on production order. My understanding (and list) is cobbled together from the Clone Wars timeline at Wookieepedia as well as individual articles about episodes in particular.

        Just my opinion though

Corruption revisits Satine's Mandalore, but there's nothing to suggest that it immediately follows season 2's Mandalore trilogy...

Don't watch it. The Clone Wars is heresy.....at least to me.

EDIT: No offense to The Clone Wars fans

Just spent about an hour clicking through the Wookieepedia articles on the Clone Wars (the conflict) as well as numerous tabs for episodes and specific battles. It doesn't look like a lot, but I did some major revising just now

Updated again to reflect tonight's revelation, as well as the single sentence on Wookieepedia concerning the next episode. Interesting to note that the Season 2 timeframe now ends with the Zillo Beast duology, and that the only episodes of the year so far to take place post-S2 are the newest Manalorian duology. Unless it ends up being bumped back in the timeline too

Updated once more to reflect the position of tonight's episode in the chronology. Seems more than likely that next week's will be a direct sequel to 1.22, but I'll hold off on entering that till it airs.

Just did another overhaul after spending a lot of time reading through the trivia/factoids sections for individual episodes at the official TCW site at starwars.com. As a result quite a number of episodes were shuffled around.

                          modifications:
                          - shuffling the order of the bounty hunter mini-arcs, as suggested by the trivia and details sections of various relevant episodes at the official TCW site at starwars.com

                          - moved the zillo beast stories closer to Lightsaber Lost, as the Palpatine billboard giving an address in ZBSB is the same address seen in Lightsaber Lost. While this is almost certainly just cost-cutting in production by re-using an existing asset, it does appear on-screen and is thus canonical

                          - another section on the TCW site states that Senate Murders was the most recent chronological episode, being part 3 of an arc that begins with tonight's episode (Heroes On Both Sides) and has its part 2 in the next episode (Pursuit of Peace) so it's been moved up in the order to reflect this. Also moved Bounty Hunters back a bit to before Senate Murders for the same reason (though its actual place in the chronology remains unclear)

                          - moved this year's Mandalore duology up in the timeline to just post-Sphere of Influence. This was done a) because of the aforementioned need for Senate Murders to be so late in the timeline; and b) because Ahsoka uses a mind trick fairly confidently in the duology--a skill she mastered in Sphere of Influence. This has the added benefit of making the "Master Kenobi's recent visit" line in The Academy seem much more relevant, with the season 2 trilogy having happened so much more recently

                          - moved a number of stories and arcs into the 20 BBY year in accordance with Wookieepedia consensus that the Zillo Beast stories take place right near the end of 21 BBY

                          - also a major style revision to (hopefully) make it easier to follow where the story arcs are

Question time: should the 'newsreels' from the beginning of episodes be factored into chronology-building, or should I ignore them as a viewer/narrative device in place strictly for our benefit? I'll need to shift some things around again if you guys think they're properly considered part of the timeline.

Incidentally one of the trivia factoids at the official site for 'Heroes on Both Sides' states that, as a result of the introduction of the new character models, we probably won't be seeing (m)any more prequel episodes from the Season 1 and 2 timeframe:
As previously reported, this episode unveils new models for several of the main characters, including upgrades to Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano, and a new wardrobe for Chancellor Palpatine. Ahsoka is now older; there is an unspecified passage of time between this episode and her last appearance. With the start of this arc, which continues in "Pursuit of Peace" and concludes in Season Two's "Senate Murders," the Clone Wars storyline advances to its furthest point in the timeline, and subsequent episodes should continue going forward without as much jumping back and forth.

I wouldn't count the newsreel when it comes to determining an episode's timeline. I think they are just used for our benefit, like the difference between "Last time on...." and "Previously on....". They are just there for our benefit in understanding the back-story to the events we are going to see.

As for the character models, I was thinking the same thing. I wouldn't expect them to shift to episodes set before 'Heroes On Both Sides' unless they are willing to reuse the old models. To use new models for episodes set in the first or second season would just end up screwing things up a bit too much.
