It closer to the food synthesizers on enterprise than the energy to matter replicator
from the STNG era.
Through enterprise synthesizers seem to be able to produce just about any food anyway.
But this could be a cool piece technology but still only on the drawing board.
Now i've read the article and i would like to buy one but where ?

Well this is indeed cool, it's still not really anywhere close.
I would not say that, now if they can print out globs of food stuff an blend them into something eatable. The next step would to be able to do it by molecules, then atoms, then electrons protons an newtrons.

The article state it only a theoratical design at the moment, it will be a couple of years before it built an probably longer for it to become anywhere near commercialy viable/

Worth exploring indeed i would buy one , no matter the price , this is a piece of history and future , when it will be commercial i will make sure to be among the first people to buy

Every part of the human body is unique, skin, blood, various different kinds of cells..
Now if there was a way to assign a numeric value to each of these items you wouldn't need to copy every single one when a person transports, just their basic shape and let the transporter count the individual occurances of each unique component.... So for instaance the shape and location of all your bones is recordec but the bone itself has a unique numerical value so it is stored say as number 145 with the number 206 added to that to give the number of bones needed.....
So when your skeleton is reformed at the destination the computer pulls out the numbe 145 for bone and the number and location of the bones, as well as their dimensions. So you won't end up with 6ft tall people turning out 5ft and such..
What do you guys think?
