Yes, I got your e-mail, and I approve your charrie as a Daedalus pilot, though I'm not so sure about rank of his tbh. Know what? Post the bio in that OCs thread, and poke Mel some more about exact position and exact rank. Or if you still can't edit your posts, wait for her to say her final word.

As for Col Reynolds, take him if he's vacant, less trouble off others' shoulders.

And yup, I'm a Russian, born and bred.

ETA: To whoever attentive showing up, I was going to post for my pilots when I realised the mass of posts happened since last of mine. Permission not to read that all (if there's not anything vital of course) and just post them taking off in the morning?

Right, well, thanks for approving my character. I don't care what his rank or age is, so long as he's not a newbie and has flown an F-15E in any war after the Gulf War. Switch it around as you please.

Also, how will Charles Stone get introduced into the plot?

Colonel Reynolds's slot is indeed open. I'll be happy to take it, but where should I start exactly? I assume the SG-1/SG-3 missions thread?

Finally, what's the deal with Christmas Break? On or off?

Similar to Lake, the only thing with Lake is that she's a m,ade on computer and grown in a stasis tube type of super soldier. Way too over powered for here me thinks. Mostly because she has three weapons, a G36E (which looks like a Clone Troopers DC15 rifle), a crossbow that was custom made for her only, (210 pound draw weight! Nobody save for the Terminator can draw THAT many a time!), and a .357 Deagle handgun.

A walking one woman army. she's actually 16 years of age, but she's got the experiances of a dead 67 year old general. So she's basically a child soldier.

But like I said, wouldn't fit in this game, so for now she's in fanfic stories of mine
sounds like a HALO SPARTAN soldier....kick any Goa'uld lord's backside for sure....

well with a SPARTAN getting one's butt kicked is kind of an occupational hazard.....heck her SPARTANesque character could probably even go a few rounds with a Wraith and win.....

ATM only SBZ who's assisting me with teh story knows just how it'll go down. PJOZ has a few ideas but i don't think he's captured exactly what i have in mind for my story. Not sure if Mel would want that kind of thing in New Seasons,

Well, Lake is actually slightly better then a SPartan II mostly because the Spartans were genetically altered as they grew up. Lake on the other hand was created first on a computer then grown inside a stasis tube, much like an avatar from the movie Avatar would be grown, only, not an empty shell, Lake's DNA had her battle experiance (of the dead general) ingrained into her DNA, so pretty much, a soldier ready for anything, never goes anywhere without her .357!

Now.... taking on the Wraith,............... It is possible....

yeah...Master Chief is a SPARTAN 2....and he could flip a Warthog.....so chances are he could bust a Wraith's chops up pretty good and so could Lake

Just an honest opinion, keep the supersoldiers/aces/heroes out.

It's a staple of good writing, balanced heroes. Even in SG-1 and SGA, despite knowing that the heroes would come out alright in the end, it was the fact that the journey wasn't easy that mattered.

If your character can easily pwn Wraith or has a ATA gene that makes Sheppard look like a primate in comparison, then it takes away from the point of the story.

Why else did it take the SGC 5-8 years to start building space ships, and what happened once they had them? it just become a asgard plasma beam of doom fest where it took the Ori killing Korolev to raise the stakes.

The problem is by raising the stakes in a technological sense, (leveling up if you will) the enemies have to level up in order to make the threat credible.

So please, i'm even tetchy about hte cyborg but at least robotics is something that's been hinted to in the series. I remember clearly from another RPG i happened upon years ago something very clear. It was a Star Trek RPG and there was one really funny "guideline".

"If you are playing hte Com officer, you have a Com officer's duties. This does not include firing phasers, leaping over the console to take over navigation/piloting, or taking command of the ship should the captain be incapacitated. Know your place and work together as a team, because there's no I in team, but there is a U in Mary Sue."

MadG: true, Lake though is more or less a clone soldier, basically a soldier since before birth so to speak. 16 years of actual age, but since her experiance comes from a dead general, (who died at age 51), Lake's 'legal age' is 67, but she wont age by much if at all. (think Ada Choi for an idea of what Lake looks like, Sung has the same hairstyle of fire red with streaks of black)

Aragon: Balanced characters are sometimes too much. I created Lake from nothing whatsoever, just some thoughts I had, and also what if moments as well. Like for example a What If someone irked off Carter to the point of Carter pulling her sidearm on the person that irked her off. (which so happens to be Lake in one of my fanfic stories on another website)

I also have my own AU of Die Hard 4 (Live Free or Die Hard) with Lake in John's place, John having passed away, yet his niece Lake McClane takes on her uncles job with his spirit guiding her. (now that got me thinking, who doesn't want to do it McClane's way?!)

I get what you are saying yes, no offense is taken.

Now speaking of other realities.... I like dabbling in those, as such, the Vegas reality for example. That's the reality that Lake would reside in, so if a rift in space time were to happen, Lake might fall through.

But that really only works in the Multiverse at best, anything can and does exsist there

But good pioints all around.... just spelling needs work
