Why that guy? I thought he was alright as Adama, if not a little overlicliche'd (falling out of the sky whilst two battling centurions, yeahhh, Ace Rimmer). I'll be watching whomever they pick. My main concerns are over Ron. I know Eick is really involved in this, but Ron's my main man.

Details Of 'Blood & Chrome' Characters Revealed

Fans are still rooting for Nico Cortez to reprise his role as a young William Adama in the upcoming "Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome" pilot. No one knows if he'll get the role, as that decision is up to Syfy, but word is out now on exactly what kind of characters executive producer David Eick is looking for.

Adama is planned as a Tom Cruise-like character -- not jumping on Oprah's couch Tom Cruise, but more the "Top Gun" Tom Cruise -- who is a bit battle weary in Year 10 of the first Cylon war, according to TV Guide. Adama -- who would go on to command the Battlestar Galactica in "Battlestar Galactica" right now is just a rookie pilot, similar to Cortez's version of Adama in the BSG telemovie "Razor."

The Adama character really needs to explanation, no matter what the timeline is. What is interesting are the other characters that reporter William Keck revealed.
