'New Man in Charge' - the missing finale scene

Details revealed of missing 'Lost' scene

More details have surfaced on the missing Lost scene that was cut from the show's final episode. According to E! Online, the sequence - which will be made available on the sixth season boxset - will be entitled 'The New Man in Charge' and will follow "the unseen story of Hurley and Ben".

The DVD extra will reportedly run at just over 11 and a half minutes, and will reveal "what went down between Jacob's reign and the end of [...] Lost". The scene will also be made available on the complete series boxset.

Michael Emerson - Benjamin Linus on the programme - previously said that the sequence will cover "a period in the show's mythology that's never been explored".

I'm really looking forward to seeing this.
I'm fine with most of the loose ends that were left after Lost ended but I was disappointed that nothing about what happened after Hurley took over for Jack was shown in the finale. It's good that will be dealt with. (And that that segment won't just be in the complete series set.)

                    Spoiler:
There really wasn't much in the epilogue. The majority of it consist's of a Dharma orientation film for the Hydra station. It does explain things like the food drops and the Hurley bird (which was just a genetic experiment done on a bird at the Hydra station) though. And it does tell us Walt's fate. None of the epilogue takes place in the alternate reality/purgatory.

I just watched it and it was actually good, a great way to end to show after the (IMO) disastrous "the end".

While "The end" left me wishing i had never even started watching Lost, this epilogue leave me thinking that while it wasnt perfect, it was overall a good show.

Anyone have a chance to watch this on the season 6 disc? I really liked it. Answered two key questions IMO.

Yeah, well worth the watch. It made me want more though

I'd love to see Hurley and Ben actually running the island.
