They finished season 8 ages ago so it isn't on now until they get season 9

I find it ridiculous that in this day and age that the UK fans have to wait so long to see shows from American TV. I am really surprised that there is not a dedicated Sci-fi channel in the UK when there is such a demand.

That being said, our Sci-fi channel has started showing ECW wrestling.

It IS stupid. To be honest, I've given up with TV with the exception of Doctor Who on a Saturday evening. Now I just watch DVDs instead. Screw watching Series 9 on Channel 4, I'll wait until February and buy the bloody boxset.

I find it ridiculous that in this day and age that the UK fans have to wait so long to see shows from American TV. I am really surprised that there is not a dedicated Sci-fi channel in the UK when there is such a demand.

I stopped watching stargate on C4 after season 2. I think (most of the chanels think this.....) that scifi is for children! Get real!!!

Quantum Leap another fave show of mine is put on at 1030 in the morning on ITV3....when I was younger I had to beg my mum to let me stay up until 2230 to watch it!

So now the only way to watch either Stargate or Quantum Leap uncut is by it on DVD. It's only now that I can now understand some of the parts I'd miss!

SCI-FI IS FOR EVERYONE!!!! IF YOU'RE GOING TO SHOW A SCFI PROGRAMME DO IT PROPERLY OR DON'T DO IT AT ALL AND LET SOMEBODY ELSE DO IT!!!!

Sky One was pretty good for cult/scifi at one time. They showed Buffy, Angel, Stargate, Atlantis, BSG and Star Trek pretty regularly, quickly and, most importantly, IN ORDER for the most part but now they seem to have drifted away from sci fi a little bit. At least they show Stargate all the time - I'd say that Sky One has done the best job in the UK so far. It's just a shame for people here who don't have Sky or Cable.

I haven't watched Stargate (or anything else much) on T4 since Amanda's interview last November with Steve 'I'm in love with myself' Jones ... hee,hee I laugh heartily every time I think of Amanda's swift put-down of "God's Gift to Women" lol!

Sorry, Steve, that position has already been filled by an older guy called Rick !

They had a SciFi twist in BB this year during the Geek task. They had to learn Klingon! One of the phrases they learned was "I'm not bothered" (a phrase made famous in The Catherine Tate show, though her character Lauren pronounces it boovered)

One of their former contestants, Jon Tickle, was a SciFi fan. Maybe they should employ him on T4 to discuss Stargate and other SciFi shows?

Though not all SciFi discussions on BB are so pleasant.

They were having a conversation about SciFi shows

Housemate 1: "What's that show that's like Star Trek, but s**t?
HM2: "Farscape?"
HM1: "That's the one"
HM3: "There's a really fit bird in it"
HM2: "What, the dark-haired one?" (i.e. Claudia Black)

Beeb 2 were a pain as well as Ch4, they would pull Buffy or DS9 (and I'm assuming other Treks) for no good reason or for sport(cricket, Wimbledon, darts, tiddlywinks) but I don't recall cuts -

They cut bits out of Farscape, I remember bondage Rygel being cut from Won't Get Fooled Again and the "Is nudity a taboo?" scene (shot of naked Zhaan from behind showing her blue butt) being cut from Throne From a Loss

Charming! And now you see why I hate BB with a passion! Don't get me wrong, I don't like "Eye Candy" Vala one iota but Claudia seems like a charming, attractive lady with something between her ears unlike these talentless non-celebrities on BB.

BTW, I apologise on behalf of Manchester for the Mancunian girl who was in the BB house this year! I haven't seen her but my friends inform me that she was awful! Mancunians seem to get bad publicity but I assure you we're rather nice people in general and not at all like the spitting, swearing, chavvy lager louts with flat caps we're frequently portrayed as by the media (The Battersbys in Coronation Street and The Gallagher brothers, anyone?)

I have just read the entirity of this thread and I have to say I agree complelty with all the views expressed about T4 and they're awful presenters. I really hope that they don't get season 9 let it go to Channel 5 as they have been excellant with Atlantis!

Edit - I was looking at the T4 forums and found this post about Stargate S9, the reply says the attitude of T4 in my opinion.

Not sure that channel 5 is going to even show season 2 of Atlantis, so i doubt they'l show stargate either.
