"best" seems to be the flavour of the day
and a quote:
nice! The ending was described by Joseph Mallozzi to be "the biggest HOLY #%&@! ending I have ever written," and while in my mind I was thinking of completely different things than what actually happened, the reality was still pretty striking. It only really matters, however, if the writers have enough balls to follow through when it comes to season two.
In closing (purely because more can't be said without giving too much away) this is an episode which delivered incredibly well on its build up, and then some. If season two is half as good as this finale was, we will be enjoying an incredible sci-fi series for years to come.
The finale sounds exciting. While not intellectually stimulating Sci-fi, I really enjoyed the last 2 LA episodes nevertheless. I wasn't looking forward to seeing them again instead of new indigenous non-humans aliens as main enemies. But the episodes turned out much better that I thought they would. Good, fun, actions episodes. Given the choice, I would have used the blue aliens as the main enemies in the final (hoping we would know more about them). But the LA episodes turned out to be pretty entertaining and fun. Much better than 80% of what else is on TV, if not more.
I still think "First Strike" was one of the best "season ending" Cliff hangers. The ending is shocking to a certain degree, but I sorta knew where they were heading. I cannot give the episode a 10/10, but certainly a 9.5/10! Like the reviewer said, if they follow-through on what happened, I will also be very impressed. I cannot wait to give my full review tommorrow. Oh and the music for the last 3 or so mins, was..............awesome!!!!
