"It is said that the future is always born in pain. The history of war is the history of pain. If we are wise, what is born of that pain matures into the promise of a better world, because we learn that we can no longer afford the mistakes of the past."

"There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

I need to get my hands on Deadwood, I've wanted to watch that show for a while now.
Very highly recommended. I think it's a real shame that it didn't get a 4th (or more) seasons. It certainly wasn't for a lack of quality, ratings, or critical accolades--it had all of those. It's just that David Milch and HBO screwed each other and the fans were the ones who suffered for it =\

I haven't watched anything yet, but I'm thinking about watching Glee later. It's one of those shows I've heard lots of good things about, but I've never had the time to watch it.
