    Default Destiny's final destination

I was wondering if anyone knows what's destiny's final destinaton. i mean, sure, its exploring the universe, but does it have some kind of a goal, will it turn around at some point or will it just explore until somebody blows it up?

it was meant to have ancients on it who can control it so it really doesn't have a final destation

IMO its heading for the center of the universe as its logical to asume the ancients where looking for answers and a ship on course for where it all began makes sense to me.

Don't think it has a final destination, like someone said above the ancients would have been able to control it, so even though its on a preprogrammed course Im sure they could easily change it if they were aboard
I dunno what to put in here now..

agreed - but that with "center of the universe" is a nice way to think of it (just - if the ancients wanted to go there, they would have build a shipt that can fly a direct straight line course imho...and would have gated aboard once the ship was close (so no following the seeder ships, no exploration stops etc.)

    greetings LAX

If the universe has no end how can it have a center?

It doesn't, at least as far as we know. Every point is equally distant from Earth... which would indicate that we are, from a certain point of view, the center of the universe. Funny, isn't it? After hundreds of years of trying to disprove the notion that all Creation revolved around us, we're back where we started.

yes but technically all of creation revolves around the planet we're on.

wait, that only makes it worse, right?

Well it's really just that every point is equally distant from wherever you are in the universe, so it's not just here. But as long as humans don't leave the planet, our point of view shows that everything in existence revolves around Earth. Makes my head hurt...

I'm sure the aliens living halfway across the galaxy would disagree

Since the universe is infinite and constantly expanding I would assume its will keep on going and going. With an unlimited power source, there seems to be no end in sight. Until the writers come up with one of course.

Reversing time for universe expansion can theoretically leads us to the point at where this expansion has started - point of Big Bang. It is (in a manner of speaking) center of the Universe.
Everything will be okay in the end.
If it's not okay, it's not the end.

You know, scientists doesn’t sure about “infinite and constantly” yet. There are cyclic cosmological models as well.

True, but the general consensus from what I've read in journals and seen in documentaries is that the universe is constantly expanding to infinity (for now).

Of course in the grand scheme of things we still lack a significant understanding of how things work in the universe, so no theory is ever 100% correct.
