If you don't want spoilers, you shouldn't be reading a thread that discusses the episode for those who have seen it.
As for the wavy thing at the end, I think it may have something to do with some great overlapping arc that won't be explained for about 11 more episodes. Or it's just nonsense. You can never tell with this show.

Apparently, young Amelia Pond is in real life, the cousin of the current Amy Pond - any truth to the rumour?

Just saw it. Far too happy to give a balanced critique right now. After the rewatch, I'll give a review. If I write it now, it'll be all I LUV YOU, 11TH DOCTOR!
The cracks in the universe that Patient 0 spoke of... I believe that was one of them, or a stylized representation of them. Cracks will probably be the recurring motif this season.
As for spoilers... I don't see anything wrong with hypothesizing about future events using only info from the episode in question.
I'd happily take that as a review if that was all you had to say to be honest. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Since Saturday I think I must have watched The Eleventh Hour 7-times now and it's still great! The new Doctor is AWESOME! Bow Ties are cool!![]()
Regarding the moment between the Doctor and Amy in the TARDIS whilst in front of the waveform monitor showed a wave that was similar in pattern to the crack in two points of time and space that took physical existence in Amy's house. I'm wondering if maybe, somehow, the crack has had some sort of long-term affect on Amy and maybe even an affect on time on Earth itself. Or maybe, if there is an affect from the crack, it's only local to Leadworth and only the people there are affected? If there are consequences from the two points in time and space coming together via that crack then they'll likely get addressed and explored in the 2-part finale...or maybe they won't. Sometimes the little things are just that...little things and they have no mention ever again...or maybe it'll be the most significant thing of all throughout Season 31 / Series 5. I guess we'll see.![]()

Well I got round to watching the first ep that I had the tv record while I was away on holiday and I must say I was impressed. Dr Who recently had become quite lacklustre especially the end of time. This was fantastic and Matt Smith was excellent as the Doctor. It was exactly what Dr Who should be, fun and madcap with lots of running. Looking forward to the rest of the season.
I have a confession: I've never watched a full episode of Doctor Who in my life. Always saw it as a little campy, but I heard about the new Doctor and the head writer being the slightly darkly humorous type, so I said, "Hey, I've got time to burn. Why the hell not watch it?"
So glad I did. It's a nice smart, well paced and very witty little adventure. Matt Smith was great - half bumbling, energetic man-child, half genius hidden under all of that. Karen Gillian is very easy on the eyes and she plays her role to an enjoyable tee - props on not just being an eye candy gal. Lots of twists I didn't see coming and some great humour balanced out by good fantasy fun. All in all, I think I'll be watching from now on...

Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! WITH THE LEMONS! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that BURNS YOUR HOUSE DOWN! ~

For a contrast, perhaps now you should try out The Beast Below. Matt & Karen's acting is excellent.![]()
Before you know it, you will have all the Nu Who & will be happily collecting the classic Who DVD's like the rest of us!![]()

Run![]()
It just aired on Space channel here in Toronto, and I loved it.
My hubby and I DVR'd it, too, but only so I (or we) could catch the spots we missed.
Feisty Amy. Yeah, pretty much.
Watching the Doctor climb out of the TARDIS, I forgot about the dimensional bits.. sort of like climbing out of a deep well..
Also, glimpses of the new intro theme or was that the full intro? I like the effect and the buffeting of the *storms of time* visuals.. but I'm not sure I like the red colored tunnel yet. Either that's more like fire or into the hot zone, or riding into the proverbial sunset(s)..??![]()
