    SFX Reader Awards 2010

Awww...the Stargate news forum is a bit quiet these days

Anyway...Here are some of the awards. Not as good a year as last for Stargate I'm afraid.

    1. Supernatural
    2. Doctor Who
    3. Torchwood
    4. True Blood
    5. BSG
    6. Pushing Daisies
    7. Being Human
    8. Fringe
    9. Ashes to Ashes
    10. Stargate Atlantis (Yay!)

    Best TV episode

    1. Children of Earth ep5 (Torchwood)
    2. Criss Angel is a douchebag (Supernatural)
    3. The next doctor (Dr Who special)
    4. Planet of the dead (Dr Who special)
    5. Needs (Dollhouse)
    6. He's our you (Lost)
    7. To kill the king (Merlin)
    8. The oath/Blood on the scales (BSG)
    9. Oh oh oh...it's magic (Pushing Daisies)
    10. Vegas (SGA) (Yay#2)

    Bizarro choice...Freedom (erm...Grey's Anatomy)

    Award's analysis

'Flashforward, Stargate Universe, Knight Rider, Psychoville and Legend of the Seeker all received just one or two votes each in the best TV show category while Defying Gravity was the only show of 2009 to receive no votes in any category. Seems you thought the Antares' mission to Jupiter was just a little dull as well!'

Shall I post some other results as well? Think I will!

Any episode called "Criss Angel is a douchebag" regardless of show deserves to win. I'd definitely spoiler "Best Death Scene" and "Best Plot Twist". Just a good thing you hadn't seen Torchwood Darren. Those are the major spoilers.

With that said, a lot of stuff. I'm really glad that PC Andy won an award for his fight scene.

Some of these choices are very bizarre IMO, then again the British are sometimes much better at liking things IMO. But really, Megan Fox at number for best actress? Okaaay.

I can understand the lack of Stargate....i'm used to it.

I still cannot believe Eve Myles beat Cate Blanchett fot Best Actress. Or Mary McDonnell for that matter.

It's no surprise when you look at the winners. The biggest majority are British. Other than Sexiest Female, Biggest Disappointment and Best Dialogue, they are all British and more importantly, mostly Torchwood. I'd be more surprised if non British won more.

Anyway...Here are some of the awards. Not as good a year as last for Stargate I'm afraid.

                            Best TV Show

                            1. Supernatural
                            2. Doctor Who
                            3. Torchwood
                            4. True Blood
                            5. BSG
                            6. Pushing Daisies
                            7. Being Human
                            8. Fringe
                            9. Ashes to Ashes
                            10. Stargate Atlantis
Well I have to agree with the number 1 choice..Supernatural is the very best TV show on at the moment...also good to see SGA getting a nod.

                            Best TV episode

                            1. Children of Earth ep5 (Torchwood)
                            2. Criss Angel is a douchebag (Supernatural)

                            5. Needs (Dollhouse)
                            6. He's our you (Lost)
                            7. To kill the king (Merlin)
                            8. The oath/Blood on the scales (BSG)
                            9. Oh oh oh...it's magic (Pushing Daisies)
                            10. Vegas (SGA)

I'm sure anyone who is a fan though will be happy to see a Supernatural ep at no.2 as well...but out of all the great eps in the show this one can hardly be called the best one...a very bizarre choice!

Also it's great seeing Vegas in there as well...I really loved that one...

And another Spn choice...loved that line by Cas.

Oh and Supernatural is Canadian...like all the good shows....unless they're British of course
