*hides from people looking at fic*

I think something similar happened in "Wreckage" where Jack becomes friends with Vala first and brings her into the loop, and that Firefly crossover is also by Annerb btw The Raggedy Edge (It's one of my personal fave's seeing as I'm a firefly fan )

But there was a one-shot fic I posted for Valenship, after watching D&C with hlndncr. It's called Sleeping Beauty, and can be found here. Actually, that might have been posted before I finished Strangers. Maybe. Did I? *goes off to look* I think I might have posted it the day I finished Strangers.

Oh, and there's another one-shot I posted called "So Close". This one is kinda dark, so ye be warned!
Thanks for reminding me about the one shots (I'm sure I've read them, but will happily re-read!)

I'm not an NCIS fan, so I guess I'll have to wait for the S/J bug to bite you again!

Sasha I was going to mention "Raggedy Edge" as a great S/J/ Firefly crossover. I haven't read any others... are there many out there? (I love Firefly, too!) I suppose I could check the Crossover section at FF.net.

"Raggedy Edge" is the only cross over I have read that actually pulls it off without inconsistency in the characters and the two shows. I'm not sure about any others. There could be some great Firefly fics out there though. Also, the "Raggedy Edge" snippets that Annerb posted on AO3 are great to read as a prequel to the firefly crossover. Hey, if you find any worth mentioning over on FF.net in your search you should rec them for me. I have little time to search myself atm with my uni prep work (ps...love your avatar and your sig )

Speaking of crossovers, you know what's weird? Besides the original film, my first experience with Stargate was via an NCIS/SG-1 crossover. Well, there were several, but the two I remember most clearly were a) a fic where Gibbs and Ziva ran into Jack and Daniel in a DC coffeeshop, and it was revealed that Daniel had once been Ziva's language tutor and they had shared a steamy summer in her late teens/early twenties; and b) Ziva goes to Atlantis as an Israeli security/personnel liaison.

The second one was actually what sparked my interest in Atlantis in the first place (which then acted as the gateway drug-- oops, I mean show, gateway show-- that led to SG-1).

I call it fate, in that I found SG-1 right as NCIS started to decline.

Thanks!!! I've had this avatar pic (by the talented Hito) since I signed on here, just waiting to use it! The sig is from hlndncr's collection.

I'll let you know if I find any Firefly crossovers worth reading, but I doubt anything will be as good as Annerb's. But who knows?

There's an interesting Bones cross-over where Bones and her team have found the remains of three humans and a baby in Egypt. The findings rings some bells high up in Washington and SG1 (Sam, in particular) is sent to investigate the investigation of the findings. It was rather well done and seemed to put both Sam and Brennan are portrayed pretty much as they are in each of their respective shows.

    Found it:

It's "The Trio in the Temple" by Seldar, http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4189960/1/

Hi Shippers! In Vancouver. It's wet and chilly (for me). Been a very long day of travel. Met up with some GWers in Phoenix Skyharbor, and shared a cab to the hotel when we arrived in BC.

Just resting up this evening. Tomorrow we go out and explore this alien world that the Stargate has brought us to. The natives of this planet call it Vancouver but I'm sure I've seen it somewhere before. Hmmmmmm.

Always thinking about the ship. Will represent for us crazy shippers at the convention!

Hi, hlndncr! I was thinking about you today-- and largely being jealous . Hows does the cold and wet of Vancouver compare to the cold and wet of VA? You're probably the most qualified to objectively describe the dichotomy (if there is one). Does the change in humidity help?

Now remember, make new friends, keep the old (silver and gold yadda yadda). I was gonna turn this into a Girl Scout thing, but got lazy. *sigh* And be careful around strangers! Stick to shippers of the penguin persuasion, if necessary-- they're a familiar kind of crazy.

The second story I've heard of but have never read.

We should all go watch Happy Feet, in a show of solidarity, followed by a re-watch of either D&C or Threads.

It's totally worth it. A lot of people look down on it, but I always get a kick out of it when I watch it. The songs, the dancing... the shipper undertones present whenever penguins are mentioned... It's awesome.
