    Ba’al named best Stargate villain

Ba’al, the leader of the serpentine parasitic Goa’uld, has been voted the top Stargate villain by readers of Totalscifionline.com and Stargate Magazine.

Michael Kenmore, the Wraith commander who was converted into a half-wraith hybrid, came in second place, while there were also votes for Todd, Adria, and Anubis.

The new villains-themed issue of Titan Publishing’s official Stargate Magazine is released on 27 October 2009 (US) and 12 November 2009 (UK).

    Yay for Ba'al!

Michael came in second!?? But Adria is so much more evil than he is!

"There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

    Cool
But there are ones I like more
But Ba'al was funny, too and *insert name here* is a very good actor
...So Todd isn't bad... I guess (oh, he's bad! A bad, bad boy ! I'm not like that ... he is cool )
Qetesh was good, but only really featured in Continuum ....
    And let's not forget !

I loved Ba'al's sense of humour x3 Michael deserves second two, given that he almost seems to have been *made* a villain by the experiments of SGA.

Ba'al was definitely best and most entertaining villain of SG franchise closely followed by Todd.

I loved Dr. Lee and his running with the "That's a lot of Ba'als" dialog! That was awesome!
Why did you do such a thing, you mediocre dunces?

Too bad he's dead and can't be there to receive the award. Maybe give it to Michael? What. . .he's dead too? Oh well.

Honestly, I think both villains are way too clever and intelligent too be dead, I believe both have clones out there somewhere.(Even Ba'al)

Thumbs up Re: Ba’al named best Stargate villain

Ba'al definitely had style and wit. Though Ra, Apophis, and Anubis were all very real, dangerous threats, Ba'al was definitely the most interesting and varied personality. The others were, well, one-dimensional in my opinion. Ba'al's flippancy about his "godhood" for example, was something that you wouldn't see with the other three or even Osiris or Hathor.

Well, all Goa'uld KNOW that they are not gods but many of them seem to actually believe anyway that they are. Ba'al on the other hand knows that the Tau'ri know what the Goa'uld are so he sees no point maintaining his false "godimage" when dealing with us, on other worlds not as enlightened though i doubt he says he's anything other than a god.

Basically he's thinking outside of the box so to speak

Edit: and btw, while Ba'al had his moments I lost all interest in him when he turned out to have more clones than Mr. Smith of the Matrix.
For me Apophis is the #1 bad guy alongside Anubis
Daniel to Thor: Wait, you're actually saying you need someone dumber then you are?
Jack: You may have come to the right place.

Very good point, Ba'al was smart and sneaky as hell. I like that a lot. He always was thinking one step further.

I think Ba'al got a bit silly in seasons 9 and 10, especially with the whole clone thing. Although he was very good in Continuum. I much prefered Ba'al in seasons 6, 7 and 8. My personal favourites are Apophis and Anubus.

There's probably a Ba'al clone or 10 still biding his time somewhere in the universe.
