    Description
Tour the sets of the TV show Stargate Universe in Vancouver, watch filming, and enjoy lunch with Jamil Walker Smith, who plays Master Sergeant Ronald Greer, and select castmates.

Stargate Universe, the hotly anticipated new series from Brad Wright and Robert C. Cooper, the creators of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis will premiere in October. SGU follows the adventures of a present-day, multi-national exploration team on board the ancient spaceship, "Destiny." Transported to "Destiny" in a distant corner of the universe, unable to return to Earth, members of the team are forced to remain on the vessel and fend for themselves.

Donated by: Stargate Universe and Jamil Walker Smith

Terms: Tour must be redeemed between Oct. 2 and 28, 2009. Valid for 2 people, up to one year. Show tapes in Vancouver, Canada. Winner is responsible for all travel costs related to trip.

Sales tax will apply to residents of the State of Connecticut.

Shipping/Handling: charitybuzz® Auctions uses UPS or FedEx for all shipping. We charge a minimum of $9.95 for shipping, handling and processing for all lots. We insure everything for the full value of the actual winning bid. We review the weight and value for all lots and average the cost of shipping by location to determine a realistic shipping charge for all lots. Shipping and applicable insurance for this item is $9.95 within the United States, unless the terms indicate special delivery instructions.

International Orders: Shipping fee reflects domestic U.S. shipping only. Shipping outside the U.S. will be calculated separately. International winners are responsible for all customs fees and import duties.

Ahh, more charity buzz auctions. Good for them! I wonder what the last SGU lunch/tour went for? The only thing I don't like about that site is that you don't get to see the winning bid. The auction disappears once it's closed.

$40K??? Whoa, I'd buy a car. No wait, TWO cars, for that kind of cash (sorry, RDA).

I joked with a few friends that one had better be getting a whole lot more than dinner with the man for that price! LOL!

But, hey, obviously someone has that kind of cash to spend, so why not for a charity? I would if I had it!

I was watching the bidding for lunch with RDA to see how much I would need to win in the lottery to have a chance. The winning bid was $46,000. Maybe next year?!

I've kept up in so far as knowing the names of the actors they've cast. But I don't recognize any of the names other than LDP. I wouldn't know who Jamile Walker Smith is if I tripped over him on the street. Same with Carlyle.

Default Just saw this Stargate Universe set visit

HI guys, I'm new to this forum, but I wanted to get the word out about this. A friend emailed me a link to a charity website that is auctioning a set visit to Stargate Universe. The link is https://auction01.charitybuzz.com/se..._item_id=95319. It's for a SGU set visit and lunch with Jamil Walker Smith. But the auction ends at 4:46 EDT today. Wish I was rich!

Hi gatorgirl.. Welcome to gateworld. I know what you mean about the sets. I visited the bridge just didn't go in. You can see the stages and sometimes you can see in if the doors are open. Talk to the security guard if you can. His name is bill. Great guy. Really nice, he can tell you all sorts of cool stories. As for the charity, RDAs for the sg-1 movie soldfor 18 thousand so pretty expensive. LOL

I wonder what $40 grand gets you for lunch?? It would be quite surreal to sit down with RDA at some table while you are both eating a pie and chips, knowing that the pie and chips (plus the opportunity to watch RDA eat his pie and chips) cost you 40 large.

    Hi,
I'm new to this site, so trying to find my way around. I got into Stargate Universe, but after about 4 episodes it was taken off TV, like most other good sci fi. The visits to the sets sounds interesting and expensive.
