    September 14, 2012 I believe.

But on the plus side, I can't imagine it being any worse than Afterlife, so it's gotta be good right? Right?

    Please?

Damn if only I could still swing my little fishies Afterlife was awesome. So much better than Extinction which IMO is the weakest of all the movies so far So there And just remember one thing

    Psst....Linda is never right

Nah like I said earlier in the thread.... You don't expect RE movies to be Schindler, but you go into them with a certain expectation that they'll be actiony fluff fun. But Afterlife was just no fun at all. It made me want to put out my eyes it was so bad (or maybe more accurately, PWS Anderson's, for making such a horrible movie).

But I haven't lost faith! I want RE5 to be fun again!

You know the more you deny it the more you think I'm right

I was a little disappointed in Extinction, I didn't hate it or anything but I did think it was a little weak and boring, but Afterlife brought RE back to life for me so maybe the fifth movie can do the same for you.

Overall, I have enjoyed all of the Resident Evil movies for their own reasons. IMO, Afterlife was one of the best yet. I really can't wait for this next one.

And they will meet the same fate as crab monster and Irving. Awesome game though I have a theory on the mysterious woman. Its great not to hear "Leoooon heeeelp" every few minutes...RE 4 was awesome too

It would be much easier if i could be The Master Chief or Noble 6. Those plagas would flee before my awesome. I say that cos i played Halo first Odd experiance switching between the two.

Got 1 and 2 of this film series for 6 dollars each on Blu-Ray off of Amazon. I hope I like them or Ukko dies...forever.

I have had interest in trying them out but haven't yet and Amazon had a great deal on a bunch of Blus for $6. I chose this over the Scream movies which I've never seen those either.

I love the games(haven't played RE5 yet because the demo really put me off) so I know these won't follow them from what I heard so I will view it as a alternate continuity like I view all adaptations.

You made the right choice in picking RE over Scream. 1 and 2 are great, imo.
    IMO always implied.

I don't think they are $6 anymore, it was only for a few days.

Just watched all four current movies again.

The first one - I maintain I enjoy. Not too seperate from canon, was a fun movie, if a little too cheesy in parts. Nice original characters, and some excellent action scenes. It worked quite nicely as a prequel to the game Resident Evil 0.

Resident Evil Apocalypse - Worst movie ever. Horrific interpretation of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, it absolutely butchered the game characters, such as Jill Valentine, and steered so far away from canon, it couldn't even be seen.

Resident Evil Extinction - WTF? Mad Max meets Dawn of the Dead. Second worst movie ever. Chairman Wesker? WTF. Oh, and how the hell is Alice's blood the cure for the T virus AND the reason behind the Tyrant. Overall, I just found it to be a pathetic movie with so little in common with true Resident Evil it was unbelievable.

Resident Evil Afterlife - getting better! I quite enjoyed this movie. As they were trapped in that prison block, I got a sense of where the games came from, particularly skulking around and getting picked off one by one. Though it was never explained where the Majini or the executioner came from properly, it was a nice homage to Res 5, and felt more natural in some ways than the cheesy-ass zombies did. Wesker, wrong actor by far, frankly, and it was so obvious that they lifted a fight scene straight from RE5, but I can forgive that. Not a bad movie, but a RIDICULOUS cliff hanger.

Now, this new movie? MY question is - how the sodding hell is this Resident Evil? It bares NO resemblance to the games at all... yeesh, why does Umbrella even care any more?
