Ah Bridge Commander- an ok game, made so much better by the fans- the Stargate mod is fantastic, and is but one of several fantastic mods!

Oh, I am. I'm even attempting my luck with the edit mode. But FF's POTD's..? Nope, no more of those, BCC will get my screenshots from now on.

Well, they seem to be.. Selective.. about pics they show on POTD thread. I uploaded a non-edit mode pic weeks ago and it hasn't showed up yet, whereas edit mode pics that were taken day or two ago and posted on BCC, were uploaded nearly instantly..

I'm sure it's not about edit mode picks. Danny simply tries to get the best shots up on the site. The PotD is the part of the modding that keeps the site interesting and why I keep coming back. I think it keeps the site relevant and also serves the modder to see their work in the best possible light and that keeps the modders around when they can easily go else where. BC Files was recognized but 2 years ago in 2010 in the Game Informer Magazine for it's game modds and that was 8 years after the game came out.

For me it's the reason why I want to be a modder.

It never hurts to constantly improve your shots.
Keep in mind some of these tid-bits.

    http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/potd/140192
    Beauty Shots:
These are single focus pics with a simple background and a close up of some ship
Angle, Position and Lighting are the most important aspect. Sovereign001 is the best Beauty shot shooter. He typically does a ship and one of his hi rez planets in the background

    http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/potd/90832
    Combat Shots
Are like Beauty shots but they merely show action between one or two other opponents

    Battle Shots
    Whole Fleets at war.
In these shots you usually choose between having a foreground or a background focus because both can make the image crowded.

    Artistic Recreation Shots
Using some of the elements of basic photography these shots redo moments (in are or in this case from a series) in an unique way. Many people do a version of these.

These are some just off the top of my head.

Hi guys,I'm new to the forum but I need some help. Activision are useless so hoping you can help.

I recently bought a legit/not pirate copy of star trek bridge commander but I cannot get it to install I keep getting the following message when I try to install the game.

    d:\setup/extra\help\help\can_I_run_the_game_without_the_CD_in_the_drive.htm

This is the first time I have ever seen an error message like this and was wondering if there was anything I can do to get it working before I return it
