^^ It isn't KM that I have a problem with. I've got that playing just fine. My problem is the installation of the Stargate Project.

It's Probin' Time!
The last time that I tried to install the Stargate pack, it hosed the install and I had to start over.
I made a backup first.I've downloaded it, copied all the files over, but once you load it up, you're pretty much playing Bridge Commander stock. I'm guessing the authors missed a link somewhere, which would normally tie up the odd ends.

Are there any mutators that you need to activate?
No, there's no need for mutators as the plugins are already done. However, if you don't have Stargate pack v3.0, which includes packs 1 and 2 and some extras, problems will occur more likely. all I ever needed to do was copy the files and paste them, fire up the game and voila. Stargate-related intro, musics, everything. Oh yeah, SG pack v4.0 is on it's way with some upgrades.![]()

The best Star Trek Game ever.
It should be considered canon.
It IS.. but wait until we get the Star Trek:Excalibur..There are epic games, and then there's games that are beyond our comprehension of epic.

the love of sci fi know no bounds...
Agreed, although the wraith ships go pop far too easily.. whereas Ori mothership can go against a Borg cube.. and win.. alone.![]()

no, god ships are boring. Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyers, Ori ships and ZPM-boosted odyssey are enough for me.. And please, try not to go offtopic in this one as well.. if you wish to discuss another game, make a thread for it in some appropriate subforum.

I uninstalled the game and mods then reinstalled them but am still jus getting the black screen with yellow cursor.![]()
Time to re-install without mods and add back one by one.
Did you delete all files related to the game installation? Especially the activision folder?

Yeh, all files were deleted (made sure of that) lol
Once you get a version you should save the whole activision folder before before adding each ship and make sure the program still works after each install then... when and if the program crashes just replace the current activision folder with the saved one.
I never have to reinstall all those mods, this way.
Infact I have 3 different version of the program...
One for multiplayer
One for Picture of the Day (So I can modify the weapons and maps
One for BC that changes as little as possible for playing the game with graded models for game play only.
Well, my install is pretty much mix and match.. it has stargate, battlestar galactica, starwars, star trek ( of course), andd it works pretty well.. but sadly, extensive modifying of BC makes the memory leak issue far worse. Especially if you play with new, highly detailed ships, or ships that have multiple pulse/projectile weapons.
