Perhaps she got injured or something and couldn't film for all of the principle shooting time. I've also read on the Samanda thread that AT had to cancel a con in Australia because Sanctuary filming (I think) had been moved up, so maybe they're going back to shoot more Ashley stuff now that EU is better?

There's been no confirmation that that person on Facebook is actually EU, she may be but then again she may not.

I hatez waiting to find stuff out Roll on S2 so we can find out what is happening with Ash and whether or not they're pulling a swifty on us (a la BSG & Starbuck).

It doesn't work that way in show business. It would be prohibitively expensive to go back and film more for eps. What if she wasn't available for some reason? They'd be screwed. And the equipment (cameras, etc.) would have been returned to the rental place by now. And the crew let go. They are now firmly in post production.

Yeah, that was mostly just wishful speculation on my part. I'm just a little concerned about Ashley's place on the show, especially considering the new character Kate. But they're probably just keeping her story especially underwraps because it's an important part of the first 3 episodes. Either way, I'll find out in a month or so.

I noticed that bit too. She's opening her eyes, so it doesn't seem like some sort of suspended animation tank. I was thinking maybe Ashley tries to get back into the Sanctuary, like she did in Fata Morgana.

I wonder if maybe those glimpses of confrontations between Ashley and Druitt, and Ashley and Helen happen at the Tokyo Sanctuary.

I thought maybe Tokyo because at Comic-con Martin Wood suggested that it gets partially destroyed, so I think the major showdown between the Cabal (with Ashley) and the Sanctuary team probably happens there. I think that's where Helen and Druitt are going to 'storm the castle'.

The very last clip looked like Druitt running into Helen while jumping away in the central room of the Sanctuary. Maybe Helen built all of the Sanctuarys with a common central room, but different exteriors.

This is pure speculation of course, but maybe Helen and Druitt go to Tokyo to stop the Cabal and save Ashley, and in the process there's an explosion or something that destroys that Sanctuary. Druitt is able to save Helen, and maybe Ashley's fate is left unknown as to whether she was able to jump away in time. In the comic-con trailer there's a shot of Helen and Druitt sitting in ruins with him says 'what now,' so maybe they're at the ruins of the Tokyo Sanctuary wondering how they're going to find Ashley now. I believe they return to Tokyo in the S2 finale, so maybe that's when we'll see the return of Ashley.

Argh, it's going to be a frustrating month.

Yes to the storming the castle bit. it is from the comicon trailer. And its an awsome bit cos he's also in montion when they teleport.
the teleportation effect looks freaking brilliant!

There's a shot near the beginning of that sneak peek that shows Magnus, Druitt, Tesla, and a fourth man standing in a circle, preparing to go out and fight. At first I thought the fourth guy was Henry or Will, but now I'm not sure (and I can't zoom in). The stance/black camo gear doesn't really seem like Will or Henry. Could it maybe be Joe Cavanaugh?
