I had no problem with Durza, I had a problem with the movie itself

The plot was crap! The actors, the landscape and especially the music were perfect! But if you compare the plot of the movie with the book - horrible! horrible horrible horrible!

Sorry, hope no bad things happen there. Hey I bought an old truck with 245,000 miles on it, and it still runs! Nothing else works, but then I don't worry about it with ranch work.

Yea, the movie didn't really work out well. I could never figure why Durza was afraid of the king? If Durza had all those powers, the reason must have been cut out, or something, like a lot of things in that film?

The movie was too short, there were a lot of things from the book missing. Nowadays movies are often 2 and a half hours or more, and that had one and a half.

I think the king must have had some power over Durza. It wasn't even mentioned in the book. Maybe he found a way to control Durza the way he likes

In the movie it made no sense, if I were Durza, I would have just zapped the king and took over.

Yeah, but there must have been a particular reason why Rush didn't do this. Or maybe he did but failed?

I really can't remember, but I won't watch it again, only when I've got absolute nothing else to do.

Believe me, there wasn't any sign that Durza tried to take over. And I've seen the film more than a dozen times. And in the book there wasn't anything too.

Oh, and another problem I had with this movie was Brom's horse. A horse of this breed would never be able to run that fast over such a long distance

And now I've finished my last coffee and go to bed, good night!

Good night Cairi, I was gone a while with the neighbor stopping bye to visit.

Why am I not surprised that Cairi noticed the horses? Some movies are really funny when you know about the subject or the place they are filmed.
That could be the subject of another thread, great movie mistakes. Probably got one already.

    That's perfectly alright my dear!
Hope the fires are out down there. I try to avoid the news, it's just too upsetting. I see enough of it by accident anyway.

Ooooooh, that's the one were he lived on the street for a week to get a feel for what it's really like.
"Safe is Antonia Bird's hard-hitting, painful but worthwhile look at a group of homeless young people in London. Her subjects are not sentimentalized nor are they viewed as victims. The film raises the painful question of what a compassionate society can do for people who just can't make it. The performances are uniformly strong with an especially good portrayal by Robert Carlyle of an alcoholic Scot given to self-mutilation. This is not a feel-good movie and leaves the viewer with more questions than answers."

We'll have to put the feelers out and see if someone out there can come up with this one, 'Safe'. I wonder about the person on YouTube, 'weegieburd' who came up with the missing HM episode.

Yes, it is pitiful, I have been grinding away on the computer all day, practically! I'm procrastinating on GW and FB when I can't think of my next move with this project of mine!

Yes, it happens to me with horses. And all movies filmed in Scotland, I always go like 'I know this place, I've been there!' For example this:
