    when did sg1 find atlantis???

we have been watching sg1 from the beginning for the last few months and we have now reached series 9. we are a bit confused as to when they find atlantis. we havnt watched much of the atlantis series. we are probably going to stay up all night re-watching from series 7 to see any references to them finding atlantis. if anyone knows the answer to my question, it will be greatly appreciated.

I don't think they actually find Atlantis in SG1. They just find the small outpost in Antarctica and they find the address and go there during SGA episode 1 "rising"

Daniel finds the gate address for Atlantis in the first Episode of Stargate: Atlantis
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but *actually* from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint... it happens to kinda look like the name 'Jeremy Bearimy' in cursive English.

Season 7, The Lost City, they find the Ancient Outpost, which leads to them eventually finding Atlantis.

If you're trying to find out what order to watch the episodes. It's The Lost City (season 7), then season eight's first episode, then season one Atlantis (Rising)

Chronologically there is several months between the first 2-parter in sg1 season 8 and the pilot episode of atlantis. Weir left for the oupost expedition at the end of the first story in season 8. But in atlantis' first episode she had been putting together her expidetion for months.

              False.

The end of Season 8, Moebius, takes place prior to The Siege, but after Rising. In fact, the forced ascension of Anubis takes place in Threads, which is when the Wraith are on their way to siege Atlantis.

It was actually at the end of season eight that SG1 finds the ZPM which is taken on board the Daedalus to Atlantis.
As kymeric said Dr Weir was still present at the beginning of season 8 during the episodes New Order Parts 1 and 2 and then she's gone in Lockdown so it has to be in between New Order part 2 and Lockdown.

That it certainly did and still does.
To me The Lost City is probably the finest episode out of every single episode of Stargate, well alongside The Fifth Race anyway.

Technically, Moebius happens 5000 years prior, and in an alternate timeline.

(Actually, the whole SG1 series takes place in an alternate timeline because of the events of 1969. But that's another story for another day.)

But yeah, the little part at the end of part 2 of Moebius (team watches video, Jack has fish in his pond) does happen presumably at the same time as Letters from Pegasus.

Ye the Fishing in the pond scene made me wonder when exactly it all happened but you cant tell one way or another so "around the same time" was best way to put it
