Janus Could have saved them all!!!

Ok, well im just ranting here, but throughout the whole episode i was screaming this at the tv.......DISABLE THE PEAGUS DHD'S!!!!

We know that the Gao'uld where capable of creating a programe that dialed all the gates at once and we know from SG1 Avenger 2.0 that all the gates update from time to time.

The Ancients created the stargate system, the Nox and Tollan could even build a Stargate, so why could they now just send an Update Telling the Gates to shutdown.... none of the villages in Peg where advanced enough to fix it.

You could say that with out the gate system poeple would be stuck on there planet..... well either the wraith cull 10 planets in one day with hyperspace or 1 planet with out it and are stuck there untill the friendly neighbourhood Aurorer Class comes and blows them up.

Atlantis could have easly stocked up supplies and there hyperdrives where not effected so they could still get about just fine, in the long run it would have saved an entire galaxy from culling...

Sorry if you feel asleep lol,

    What do you think?

Well Janus could have told Elizabeth in S1 BTW I have a facility hidden out there that neutralises Wraith tech but explodes gates, if you find it don't turn it on. And if you find my hidden lab - stay out!

In reality there was a lot Janus could have done such as mentioning how and where the ZPMs and drones are built but that would have dramatically altered the future.

Don't forget, the ancients have a non-interference rule and presumably for a reason. Destiny was already destined to send the Icarus crew back 2k years but if Janus had made life easy for the Atlantis crew then a lot would have changed in the future. Instead he did the best he could - gave them a chance to save the city.

The non-interference only came after they ascended.

There wasn't a whole lot of time. By the time Janus was able to give Weir just enough info to rotate the ZPMs and put the city to sleep they evacuated the city.
