    So she's sacrificing the potential salvation of millions for one planet. That's pretty bad thinking.

      Her plan wasn't even that stupid really. By attacking the other hive first she should have had a major advantage. It's just that for some freakish reason (act of plot to make Sheppard's appearance seem useful) the other hiveship was apparently more powerful than the one Teyla was on, even after the opening sucker punch.

        Two people with heavy armor hit each other with sticks. Just because they're equally strong doesn't mean they'll inflict equal damage. Depending on how they hit each other and how many hits actually hit, one side might take more damage than the other, even if the other gets a head start.

          Ya it all depnds on which hive is targeting which part of the other hive. Not who gets the first shots in, although the first shot might help a bit.

            Sure getting hit first doesn't mean you auto lose but it does represent an advantage for the other guy.

            It's not really surprising that the other hive could be better off either, if you accept that at least some of the deviation in Wraith ship capabilities was intentional.
