Someone tell me to stop writing. it's 2.30 in the morning and i have to sleep, but the Sparky stores keep coming. i've dived into the pool of john/elizabeth plot bunnies, and they won't let me come back out.

    must sleep...damn it, another idea!

*giggles* Yeah, well I got distracted by random LJ discussions about SGA last night (SGA characters as Finding Nemo and Aladdin characters! ) and never went to bed at all.

Just read Stand Up Eight. Long fic, more John/Elizabeth professional relationship but has cute flirty bits. Worth the read imo.

I read this one this morning! Really good! It's kind of realistic when it comes to some hurdles that might be in the way, don't you think?

It's great. What I liked is that
    Spoiler:
you had John going after Elizabeth and her reacting in an unexpected way. Most people would see Elizabeth as the one who's more likely to be receptive to something between them. I think it might be John though. Elizabeth is so serious and so sensible and so caught up in her duties. Very nicely done!

Okay. I just finished watching Collateral Damage (SG-1) and Epiphany. It's funny how TPTB tried to make these two episodes, a main character development episodes.
In my opinion, they did a great job with developing Col. Mitchell.
    Spoiler:
They used flashbacks to show us who he is. They showed his dad without legs and how young Mitchell still loved him, they showed him accidentally killing innocent refugees, and they showed us who gave him the courage to stay in the air-force.

Okay. Then we get Epiphany, right? supposedly a Sheppard - development episode. IMO there was no development! All we can do is speculate that he was stranded in Afghanistan somewhere. They should have used flashbacks as well! If they did, it would have been a much, much better episode with a lot of development. We would have known more about who Sheppard is!

Who wrote the two epz? I know Joe wrote Epiphany but I hope it was someone else who he was working with that screwed it up! The one who wrote Collateral Damage, did a much better job!

don't kill me for comparing the two, I know you hate it guys...

Didn't Joe come up with the idea for Epiphany, but have to hand it over to the writers because he didn't have the time to do that and everything else he has to do? I don't think we can really blame him for it --- I'm hoping the

oh well, if it was just his idea then it makes me feel better. I'm not blaming him. TPTB obviously know that it's better to use flashbacks because, well, they did it in CD! But they didn't in Epiphany. What a waste of an episode! I watched it again only because of sparky

Yeah, the end was worth it, though.

    Thank you alyssa...

Epiphany: What is it w/the GOW... They're an irritation... Yes, we KNOW he's gorjuz, but I know a couple of guys who don't play it up to their advantage, like every moment... Meh, I'm just anti-Kirk pro-spork.

    WAtched SG1 and SGA. *sigh*

We get LOTS of Mitchell backstory. We get NADA for Sheppard, again. "Epiphany" was awful in my book. Won't watch it again. I liked Rodney's part, but that was pretty much it. The writing, acting, and editing were all terrible. Hubby almost walked out of the room again. Said it was the WORST SGA episode by far.

Hate to admit this. But I'm really starting to like Mitchell over on SG1. He just seems more and more like a real, mature officer, while Sheppard more and more comes off as a spoiled brat.

    I need a prozac.

hahhahah! I just saw that we got a pic update for the Tower! Doesn't this look extremely rediculous?
    http://sg-atlantis.emedian.net/image...SGA-15-011.jpg

so...The Tower this time. Maybe there is hope for us to get that high quality TLG
    Spoiler:
    kiss
    pic!!

FP, see that's what I mean. We haven't gotten ANY backstory for him. Of course some people will prefer the character that we know something about! *sigh* I don't know where I stand on this, but I have a lot more respect for Mitchell.
Hoping for John development in s.3 now............
