    Atlantis layout

Does anyone keep track of or know the layout of the starship/city Atlantis? Like, layout of decks/buildings and where for example the medics or power is located in relation to the main tower (gate room)?

If you do can you please post it here? I am trying to create a map or at least get an idea of its layout, but I really don't know where to start.

I know that Atlantis contains 6 pylons and that there is a main tower in the middle of the "ship".

Don't they have an official map?

There is no official map. Sorry.

The closest that comes to it is the shots in The Siege Part 2 where we're shown where a bunch of things are by those CGI jumping shots across the city.

i must admit its something i would love to see, though i think due to reusing of sets and new bits being brought in it would be difficult to make it all fit in reality

I have an idea! Why not together to try to unravel the secrets (the layout) of Atlantis. Everyone that know something about the layout could write it here and "together" create a a list for how the layout might look like.

          I can start:

          Main Tower-Center of Atlantis

          Level 1
          GateRoom

Level 2 - Main stairs to level 3
          Command center
          Conference room
          Balcony deck around the tower
          Expedition leader office

Level 3 - Main stairs to level 2 (Highest level?)
Jumperbay (Exits to exterior and gateroom)
"History will never be the same again..."
          "Indeed!"
          "No kidding..!"
          "If you say so..!"
          "Here we go again..!"
          "Never say never..!"

I don't have them handy, but I think Sunday said what level the infirmary is on and Quarantine gave a good idea where Rodney's lab is relative to the control room.

"Hotzone" was on last night and Teyla & John were sparring during the lock-down. John told Elizabeth they were in the gym, on the East Pier. Of course, now we need a North reference point to figure out the other 4 directions ... :/ And, the windows are small & decorative, so we can't see it we're at the bottom of the tower or halfway up ...
: How much time do you need?
                : ...a week... : ...a couple of hours.
: I'll take the second estimate. Go.
to : What are you? Union?

                  Main Tower-Center of Atlantis

Level (X-2) - Main stairs to level (X-1)
                  GateRoom

Level (X-1) - Main stairs to level (X-2)
                  Command center
                  Conference room
                  Balcony deck around the tower
                  Expedition leader office
                  Rodney's lab

                  Level (x) - (Highest level?)
Jumperbay (Exits to exterior and gateroom)

                  -----------------
                  infirmary - level unkown
gym - on the East Pier, level unknown

I have tried to get some nice images of the layout - but they are hard to find (especially when you don't have the dvds). I only have an exterior image of the "shape" of the city.

Is it possible that the creators of the site, Darren or Dave, could ask next time in a interview with the creators/producers of SG Atlantis if there exist some kind of description/map of the layout? And if not, will they publish one in the near future?

It would have been an interesting detail to know for us "Stargate Atlantis" fans.

Are the levels mapped top to bottom or bottom to top? I think I heard McKay calling the first level to be flooded "Level 1 on the south pier".

                      Vala,

There are blue prints of the sets themselves, but none for the entire city. Nothing official, anyway.
