When the shows originally aired and the movies were released, I watched them as they aired and were released.
I've since watched all of it over again, all one show, then all of the next show; and I've also watched all of it over again (multiple times) using various viewing orders alternating between shows.
Then I just went back to watching all of one show at a time, which is ultimately what I prefer.
It's not about changing discs but, rather, to some extent it's the flow of storytelling within each show but it is much more about the styles of the shows themselves.
I prefer the following viewing order:
1st, SG94.
2nd, SG1.
3rd, AoT.
4th, Continuum.
5th, SGA.
6th, SGU.
And I just randomly and occasionally watch "Stargate SG-1: Children of the Gods - Final Cut". I never watch the Final Cut prior to viewing the next episode of SG1, season 1, The Enemy Within. When I view the series itself and work my way through the episodes, I always watch the original version of Children of the Gods.
