i haven't really noticed that but thats probably just me. The infirmary is probably huge place as its like the hospital for a whole city so they might just show different sections of it or something.
Don't Forget the explosion in Sunday. It probably caused a lot of damage and they may have moved or done some remodelling.
It changed?
Yeah, it did. That really irritated me. It used to be a redress of the Atlantis corridors set which was situated behind the gate room stairs (I'm speaking in terms of the real set here not fictional blueprints) and as of season 4 it became it's own separate room.
Vala,
Other than things like the gateroom, control room, commander's office and conference room, no one room on Atlantis ever seems to look the same way twice - Sheppard's room, for instance, seems to be different every time we see it! Dude seriously needs a girlfriend if the only thing he can find to do with his spare time it keep rearranging his furniture...![]()

» Yes. The infirmary is practically redressed in it's arrangement every episode. (Then again, so has John's bedroom, and Kate's office window ...)

Maybe they switched to a bigger room when they realized after the first 2-3 years they have a lot of people getting seriously hurt.
i think they just got more money as the show became more successful and therefore built a bigger set

wait i just remembered, in S2 the infirmary was just as big, in the the siege part three, the infirmary had just as much space, the scanner thing in the corner, the backroom/isolation where ford was lying and then jacked the enzyme, its all there, they just didnt shoot the whole thing at once

I wouldn't. Carson used them quite often for the same activity.
