In one of his interviews it was said that he'd still be in the show, and the very nasty scar on the back of his neck would be written in. Of course that doesn't mean that he won't be killed off.....

But the writer's strike was absolutely perfect timing on this one or there might have been a problem.

Apparently she really did die in last season's ep Maelstrom, and finding her own crashed Viper, with her own body in it, is how she finds out that she's not who she thought she was. Later she finds out why the hybrid told her that she is "the harbinger of death" that will "lead them to their end".

(Which in context could actually have been a compliment in that it's very dark, and disturbing, but also incredibly creative, and pushing the envelope.) Frankly I can't wait to find out what's "really going on" myself.

Mary M., having seen the script for the last episode, said she thought it was wonderful, and made her want to go back and immediately re-watch the show from the beginning in light of the new context the finale places the entire story in. Think "The Usual Suspects" (Which if you've never seen it is definitely something you should rent and watch. Nearly everyone who sees that film immediately re-watches it after seeing the stunning reveal offered in the final five minutes of the film. It's brilliant.)

The scene of someone holding the dogtags could be Anders simply giving his ring back to her after they have their talk about his lying about being a cylon. Surely she's going to be a little pissed and they're going to have it out. It doesn't imply she's the one holding her ring and he's dead.

Car accident

On Sunday 2 December 2007, Trucco was involved in a car accident with a friend while driving a Ferrari 360 on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California. The vehicle flipped on an embankment, landing upside-down, impacting Trucco's side of the car. Trucco was badly injured in the accident, fracturing four of his vertebrae, while his friend walked away uninjured. He has stated that he initially lost feelings in his arms. He was eventually able to get out of the vehicle after regaining feeling in his hands and used his cell phone to call for emergency help. He was airlifted to UCLA Medical Center for successful surgery. Dr. Arya Nick Shamie and his team of surgeons were able to fuse his C-6 and C-7 vertebrae to his C-5 vertebrae.

As of 10 December 2007, Trucco was out of the hospital and expected to make a full recovery. Doctors said he was extremely lucky, suffering almost the same injury as Christopher Reeve.[1]

He nearly died at Christmas in a car accident and had to have spinal surgery (I think), hence the scar. The pictures were not pretty.
