    The 2008 Constellation Awards Nominees were announced this morning by the TCON Promotional Society at:

    The 2008 Constellation Awards ceremony will be held at Polaris 22, taking place on the weekend of July 11-13, 2008.

    1. You are either a Canadian citizen (not necessarily living in Canada) or a permanent resident of Canada, OR
    2. You attended the Polaris 21 convention in July, 2007, OR
    3. You are currently a member of the TCON Promotional Society, with a membership not expiring before Polaris 22 (July of 2008).

    Canada's Sci-Fi Film/TV Awards Nominees Announced For 2008

    Canadian Co-Produced “Doctor Who” Leads the TV Nominations for second year in a row. “Transformers” Leads in Film.

    TORONTO/ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 22, 2008) - Nominations for The Constellation Awards, Canada's annual awards honouring excellence in Science Fiction Film and Television, were announced this week by the TCON Promotional Society. The nominated works cover several sci-fi faves, and feature newer series such as CBC's "Torchwood" and CITY-TV's "Blood Ties" & "Chuck" running against established fan favourites such as "Battlestar Galactica" and Global TV's "Heroes".

    Canadian Co-Production "Doctor Who" picked up six nominations, including multiple nominations in the "Best Overall Science Fiction Film or Television Script" category. Other nominees in the TV categories include multiple nominations for the Vancouver-filmed series "Supernatural", "Stargate", and "Smallville".
