Ian Chesterton: Played by William Russell, he appeared in the bulk of the first two seasons from 1963 to 1965. In a film adaptation of one of the serials, Dr. Who and the Daleks (1965), he was played by Roy Castle, but with a very different personality and backstory.

J ~ Jones, Martha (She is a former companion to the 10th Doctor. Martha is currently a Medical Doctor for the paramilitary organisation UNIT and Liaison to Torchwood 3. Martha is from London and comes from the year 2008. She first appeared in the 2007 story Smith and Jones in which she was a medical student and helped the Doctor find an alien assassin. As a reward for her help the Doctor took Martha on a trip in the TARDIS. In the story The Lazarus Experiment, the Doctor allowed her to join him full-time as a companion. In the story Utopia, Martha met the Doctor's friend and former companion Captain Jack Harkness. And in the following 2-part story The Sound of Drums concluding the 2007 series, Martha, the Doctor, and Captain Jack attempted to stop the Master from taking over the Earth but failed. After a year, Martha had put into motion a plan to stop the Master and succeeded. The year of the Master's rule was erased with nobody but Martha, her family, the Doctor, and Captain Jack remembering. Martha decided to remain on Earth to continue her medical career and help her family deal with having been slaves to the Master. In the Torchwood series 2 episode Reset, Captain Jack called Martha in to help with an investigation. Following the death and unusual circumstances following in the wake of Owen Harper, Martha briefly became Medical Officer to Torchwood 3 but later returned to London at the conclusion of the episode A Day in the Death. Martha Jones is played by actress Freema Agyeman.)

S - Sontaran - The Sontarans made their first appearance in 1973 in the serial 'The Time Warrior' by Robert Holmes. There, it was explained that they are a race that reproduces by means of cloning rather than by means of sexual reproduction. They live in a militaristic society obsessed by war. Sontarans are humanoid, with a squat build and distinctive dome-shaped head. They come from a high-gravity world named Sontar in the "southern spiral arm of the galaxy", and are far stronger than humans.

T ~ TARDIS, The (Time and Space machine used by the Time Lords of Gallifrey. TARDIS is an acronym which stands for Time And Relative Dimension In Space. Following the Time Lords war with the Daleks, the Doctor is the only survivor of Gallifrey and consequently operates the only surviving TARDIS. The Doctor's TARDIS is a Type-40 TT Capsule and other Time Lords consider them to be obsolete models. The Doctor stole it to escape Gallifrey after becoming bored with Time Lord ideals. Unfortunately the TARDIS was in for repair when he "borrowed" her and after materialising on Earth in 1963, the TARDIS' Chameleon Circuit failed causing it to be stuck in the shape of a Metropoliton Police Public Call Box. Oddly the Police Box exterior is rarely questioned in surroundings when it is totally out of place. This is due to the Perception Filter generated by the TARDIS which convinces people to ignore it. The TARDIS interior is "Dimensionally Transcendental" which basically means its bigger on the inside. The first thing that is seen upon entering the main doors is the Console Room. The Console Room is the heart of TARDIS operations and can be reshaped depending on the users taste (the 9th Doctor seemed to like the Coral "Desktop Theme" and the 10th Doctor appears to as well). There is no telling how vast the interior is, but the Doctor's TARDIS has been seen to have Wardrobes, Art Galleries, Swimming Pools, Medical Bays, Storage Bays, a Boot Cupboard (which is the size of a dancing ball room), Laboratories, a Cloister Room, etc. The TARDIS has the ability to translate alien languages and writings. All TARDIS' drew their strength from the Eye of Harmony on Gallifrey but after Gallifrey was lost, the Doctor was forced to refuel his TARDIS from spatial and temporal rifts (one of which can be found in Cardiff on Earth).)
