    Stargate SG-1 Toys

Can anyone point me to a site featuring Stargate SG-1 Action figures or perhaps a tiny replica gate?

I personally can't understand WHY there isn't a great deal of Stargate merchandise. I mean think about it: SG-1 action figures, an open-up Cheyenne Mountain Complex, talking dolls even! There is so much that can be done that will appeal to a great many fan and maybe even draw in more younger ones. Why aren't they doing this?!?!?!?

LOL about Feldger comment. But I agree with the notion that with the stargate franchise being as big it is, it certainly is scarce in the merchandising department. I mean, it seems with even looking at ebay that the only items available are the SG jackets and some Zats. I would love to have a mini stargate on my monitor with lights and sounds, but I dont want to have to pay $400+ for it.

You can also find some really great stuff at http://www.stargateprops.com

Though it too can be pricey.

Because they're stupid! If MGM made merchandise for Stargate they would make loads of money cause I know that I would buy every action figure, talking doll and open-up cheyenne mountain that they made and i'm sure veryone else on here would buy at least one action figure...

My point exactly! There's so much that they can do but refuse to touch for some reason. It's just insane cos anyone can see the huge potential here for making a ton of money. My personal fave would be Carter and O'Neill talking action figures. Carter could spout some scientific phrases and O'Neill could say some choice sarcastic phrases.....plus there's all the enemies they've come across. I'd love to have an Apophis figure.

Searching the internet, i have come across four (04) figures that have not been released in the States, although one has been advertised. The figures are:

                        DESERT COMBAT O'NEILL (UK website)
DESERT COMBAT DR JACKSON (UK website)
                        DESERT COMBAT CARTER (AU website)
                        DESERT COMBAT TEAL'C (AU website)

I have not been able to authenticate whether these are legit figures or not. The first two do have full pics of them.

Can someone please tell me if they are real or knockoffs? Thank you.

I know, the current action figures are way too much like collectors items then figures that you can play with. The other thing that always bugs me is that they make like 5 versions of the same character.

Here is how I would do it: I would make a character kit that would come with one character, and then several different uniforms. For example I would have O’Neil with a green and desert off-world uniform, and on-base uniform. Within each character I would put about three magnets on the head so you can put hats on easy and they will stick on (hats will have a magnet or metal) and two on the hands so they could hold weapons easily (weapons will also have magnet or metal).

My friend who own NextGen Collectable Toys called his Diamond Select Toys represtative. This is what he had to say:

"Yes, those DESERT COMBAT figures have been (JACKSON and O'NEILL) or will be (CARTER and TEAL'C) released overseas. There are NO PLANS to release them domestically. No-one wants them as exclusives."

So, if anyone wants to purchase the already released DESERT COMBAT JACKSON and O'NEILL figures, just send me a private message and i will give you the link to the website. Both figures with S&H will cost you about $65.

It was said that once SERIES 2 Figures were released that an announcement for SERIES 4 Figures would be released.

Has anyone heard anything along this front?
