If a gate has been moved, how does someone dial it, if it is somewhere where a gate has never been? Because what happens if it is moved to a place where no nearby constellations are represented by any symbols on the gate?

You get its new position in space, calculate an address, and there you have it.

The gate dialling system uses 3 sets of co-ordinates to locate a gate (and therefore dial it) anyone moving a gate should be able to track their own position in space so would know where the gate has been moved to.

I think the question was about how to find an address for a gate that has been moved, the gate network really needs Caller ID! Move a gate, dial a friend and they have your new address! Easy!
