I've gotten into Star Trek quite recently but I had a real marathon and watched EVERY episode of EVERY series (+ the movies) inside a year, and am now pretty well versed in it.
I'm a real geek for timelines/chronological lists, and since I didn't find one, I decided to make my own (with a little help from my friend who's a real Trekkie).
So, below I will post my "Recommended Star Trek Watching Order". The list isn't of course perfect and there's a ton of stuff that can be watched in any order, but I've tried to make my list so that it a) lists all the overlapping stuff in order b) makes some kind of sense with everything else (meaning there won't be any cliffhangers left open) and c) is easy to use (meaning I've listed whole discs together everywhere possible).
Also, it should be noted that while ST: Enterprise should come first in a timeline, I've put it last on the watching order list, since the series was made with all the knowledge of the previous shows at their disposal and many of the storylines make much more sense when viewed after everything else.
If anyone has questions or comments, I'd like to hear them. If anyone finds this list useful in any way, I'm glad.
