I was quite surprised she didn't become much more of a regular. Her (few) appearances made me believe so. and of course Sheppard's interest

Not only is the character disliked, there was a number of people who thought Jill was miscast as Larrin. I think they were/are wrong in their beliefs, but there is nothing you can do about it.
I think Jill may have been in more stories in season 5 besides the mid-season two-parter if she had not taken the hosting job on Wipeout. Due to that show's shooting schedule, Jill was not able to reprise her role in season 5's 2nd half.

She was great in 'Blade: The Series'
That is where I first saw Jill.

Even though I ship John/Elizabeth, I thought that JoeF and Jill/John and Larrin had really good chemistry. I'm a little jealous of her, actually.
Interestingly enough, Torri Higginson is a year younger than Joe Flanigan. I think Weir maybe seemed "too old" because she was always the responsible leader. So was Sheppard, but he always carried out his role with the enthusiasm of a thirteen year old.![]()
Jill is listed on IMDb to have a role in a movie starring and co-written by Jason Momoa. The title is Road to Paloma and it is scheduled to be released next year. Here is the link to the IMDb page for the movie.
I am glad that Jill is in a movie that isn't in the horror or supernatural genre. I don't want to see her get type-cast. I hope she gets other roles soon since the last year has been a dry spell for her. Her last acting role in Teen Wolf finished shooting early last year.

Is there any good Jill fansite out there?
Not that I have come across. There was a forum site shortly after Blade: The Series was cancelled that was run by a fan of Jill's. It died off after 2008 due to the fan running it went to college and didn't have the time to keep it going.
Jill had an official website of her own up until late May of 2011 when it was taken down to be upgraded. It has not been active since and even the web address comes up as "account suspended" now.
Bad news for people like me who are a fan of Jill's acting. She has gone back to host the sixth season of the ABC Obstacle course/game show called Wipeout. Shooting that show will limit the amount of time she can audition for and shoot any roles. So it looks like another bleak year for Jill's acting career until Road To Paloma is released next year.

Have to post in this thread... I liked Jill Wagner in her Larrin role in SGA.
However I think the role was quite limited (and intended to be so, even from the beginning) and that was kinda the way it had to be after what happened in the episodes, and in the end one has to wonder what would have to happen to make her a more regular appearance on our screen. Would her role have worked out just as good if it hadn't been so limited and well defined? Sure that story wherein she would make more regular appearances could have been a nice one to tell, with the plus side of the regular occurrence of Larrin, but then I question what ultimately would TPTB have done to make her fit in the longer run. It would be implausible or either forced. And we would have missed out on other interesting and entertaining stories/episodes.
To tie in with that. In the end what Larrin did was affirm Sheppard's role and his character, with another "alien romance". And that worked. I don't know if any other way it would have worked... There was already Teyla and Elizabeth there for a longer female presence at that time in his life. Wouldn't need a third at that time. So maybe she should have had to make a return in the fifth season?
Hope it makes some sense.
I agree with you that the Larrin character was conceived as a romantic ploy for Sheppard in Travelers and as a way to get ships in BAMSR. After that, the role was not written well in the first place IMO to lend itself to more appearances than once or twice a year. Unfortunately in season 5's mid-season two-parter, Jill was not available to reprise her role as Larrin. If the writers of SGA had known earlier in 2008 that Jill would be busy when it came time to shoot 5.10 and 5.11, would they have written a story with Larrin in it earlier in the season?
I think the answer would depend on how the writer's liked how the character worked out similar to how "Todd" was given many more appearances due to Chris Heyerdahl's performance in Common Ground. I don't think Paul Mullie did a good job writing Larrin to start with and Martin Gero seemed only to highlight the psuedo-dominatrix portions of Mullie's Larrin. The role was too one dimensional and cliched. What could have been a good, complex character, was treated more as one of the "hot chicks" of the week. Another in a long list of faults I have with Mallozzi and Mullie's tenor as showrunners in seasons 4 and 5.
