Hopes for Continuum and Ark of Truth...

I trully hope that Don S. Davis is back in Continuum, now that jack gonna's be in it with will not be the same without Gen. Hammond

And please end the all Jonas thing by killing him on screen on Ark of truth, because i really liked Jonas and have him just been writed off the show was a bad way to end Jonas, the guy deserded better IMHO

They've said a lot of old faces will return for Continuum. It'd be nice if Don S. Davis was one of them.

Jonas Quinn
The character was introduced during Season 5's penultimate episode, the same episode where Michael Shanks left the show, as a possible replacement for Daniel Jackson in Season 6. Fortunately, Corin Nemec decided to sign on as Jonas Quinn in Season 6. Come Season 7, RDA wanted less screen time, so to compensate, the producers asked Michael Shanks to return as Daniel Jackson. Since Daniel and Jonas effectively had the same role, it would be redundant to keep both characters full time, thus Jonas was demoted to recurring. Corin Nemec would return for three episodes in Season 7. Considering Michael Shanks was in three episodes in Season 6, that's not bad. At this point in SG-1, most recurring characters only appeared in few episodes per season anyway. Exceptions being glorified extras like Chevron Guy. Anyway, "Homecoming" was intended to be the Jonas Quinn finale, "Fallout" being an extra episode. Season 8 was all about ending the show, so there really wasn't time to bring Jonas back just for the sake of doing so. His character arc has ended, it's time to move on. Now, come the Ori saga, that would have been the time to bring Jonas back as it's highly probably a Prior would come through his world's Stargate. The producers made a mention of Jonas's world being conquered by the Ori at the end of 10-07 "Counterstrike." This lead me to believe that an episode later in the season would feature SG-1 saving his world since he was... ya know... on the show for just over a year. Sadly, this did not happen. Will we see him in The Ark of Truth? Probably not. The movie will be too focused on ending the Ori saga.

In conclussion, there are logical reasons for not bringing Jonas back.

I just want the movies to be fun and entertaining. No long conference scenes with lots of boring exposition, please! I also don't want to see past characters brought back just because they were popular. If it makes sense in the script, okay, but otherwise, it just seems like a waste of time, imo. (Like Gen. Hammond in the Fourth Horseman 2.)

I'd like to see Vala's role reduced. She's been way too prominent in S10, and I'm tired of hearing about her wanting to be a part of something now. Yawn.

I guess I want the present team to all have their own place to shine in the movie. Pegasus Project is one of my favorite eps because everyone had something to do that helped solve the problem. No one was wallpapered, and there was a lot of good interaction among everyone on the team.

I'm a tad hesitant about Ark of Truth, because the theme of 'team learns of powerful weapon/device, team searches for device, team uses device' has been done A LOT on SG1, especially in the last few seasons. That said, if we get some nice character moments, not to mention some nail-biting Ori-related tension, then it could be good.

Continuum will hopefully give us back Ba'al and Ba'al doing what Goa'uld do best- being evil and nasty and all-conquering. We also get O'Neill back in Continuum and that can only ensure that Continuum is a winner. The old team dynamic was better than the current one and it will nice to see it again in some way shape or form.

My hopes for the movies...
- The Sam and Jack ship to be resolved,
- Lots of Baal
- Jacob/Selmak
- Carter to fire a staff weapon
- Jack has an important part in Continuum rather than just 'floating around'
There are many others, i'm just stuck for the time being...

Jonas would be ok but I was never a big fan. I dont think he will be in the movies though. If (spoilers for continuum)

Baal takes the stargate and changes the past so that the SGC has never been established, we would never have met Jonas.

I don't care so much about content this time around as I do delivery. The Stargate universe is HUGE, and television just can't show the scope of how huge it is by nature. What I mean is that I really, really hope they shoot it like a movie, and not like an extra-long episode. Give us massive landscape shots, alien cities, good camerawork! With a larger budget, I hope they decide to give it the massive scope only a film can.

My hopes for both would be a Blu-Ray version in full 1080p HD, in perfect quality.
