several months ago my youth group went to Paramont's Carowin's in Charlotte NC. Me and my SG friend were walking by the speakers they have up that were playing music. All of the sudden they start playing Stargate's theme song. It took both of us a secnd to realize it. We were wondering if we were dreaming or something. We stood there and listened to it until it switched to another song. I'm almost positive that it was a once in a life time experance.
i wish i had the stargate theme song......damn....
The other day I was looking through a pamphlet on my new insurance policy and there was a heading that said "Prior Authorization" and my mind instantly went to the Priors rather than what the phrase actually meant
In my defense I think I had just been watching Stargate...

We had a Stargate moment in our house this morning...there was some sort of news show on television that had on a brief clip of an interview with some security-official-type, with his face darkened and his voice modified to conceal his identity. I'm sure that this happens a lot to other SG fans, but it was really funny when me and my sister both cried out in unison, "He's a Goa'uld!" and then laughed at the fact that we'd just blurted out the exact same words at the same moment. Our mother just rolled her eyes at us. (He really did sound like a Goa'uld, though!)![]()
when i went to the movies and saw the preview for "The Time Machine" ages ago, they used the stargate theme as the score for the trailor!!!! my best friend and i looked at each instantly and grinned....

The day after I watched "Epiphany," the baby was asleep when my family sat down to dinner. After a few minutes, she woke up in the crib, alone, and started crying. As I went to get her, I had to smile as a quote crossed my mind: "I'm starting to develop some serious abandonment issues here!"
For another one: This Saturday night, I was playing Balderdash with my sister and some friends. (For anyone who doesn't know how to play, someone reads a really obscure word from a card, and writes down the word and the real definition, printed on the other side. Everyone else writes down the word and makes up a definition, then hands what they've written to the person who read the word. The object is to fool everyone into thinking your definition is the real one – unless you're playing with me and my sister, in which case, you just write the funniest thing you can think of. Lots of laughs.) So, the word was "tektite." I immediately thought of "tec-ma-te," so, between that and the last syllable, I came up with "the Goa'uld word for 'wedgie'." Everyone knew it was mine...![]()

i was filling out student portfolios for college prep during class today, and there was a section called language skills.... the first thing i noticed as i scanned the list for languages i spoke was a language called "Cree".... the second thing i did was check the two "other" boxes and typed in Anquiatis and Goa'uld as well as a brief description....

Teacher: Can anyone name me any parasites?
Me: [under breath] The goa'uld.
Teacher: What?
Me: Uh...tapeworms?

I was looking at the stars tonight -they're unusually bright- and I was thinking about how you could see so many constellations but of course I can't remember any of them from school... and I found myself thinking 'If only Jack were here...' Since he's into astronomy.
I was reading Time's Eye by Arthur C. Clarke and Stephen Baxter last night, and I had two Stargate moments: one character grew up in a place called Lorne Lodge...
...and another character's name is Kolya!

Okay, I had another one this weekend: I was at the United States Army Band Tuba-Euphonium Conference this weekend, and before one one recital, I heard this woman behind me tell someone that she was a euphonium player. When I heard her voice, I thought, "Teryl Rothery plays euphonium?!" She sounded just like her... but wasn't.
BTW, I finished reading Time's Eye. In case you were curious,Spoiler:

I have a Stargate moment now every time I look out my window. A new house is being built up on the hill and a bulldozer has piled up three great big mounds of dirt...when I look at them from below (the sky being behind them) I can't help but think how much the dirt mounds look like pyramids. I never thought I'd see pyramids in my little country valley, lol. It's a strange phenomenon.
Lately I've been doing that Goauld hand device thing on light switches... it's kinda weird

)
I went to Europe instead of school this fall and I saw signs everywhere. I even made a list and it was long. A bus I saw was heading to Amendola St. I saw Jackson and Daniel everywhere, I met a girl with the last name O'Neill and I had to tell her that was awesome, I stayed with two people we met, can you guess their names, DANIEL AND JONAS, can you believe it. I could go on. I also keep seeing this signs for Carter car rental downtown. They're just there cause we see them and they wouldnt stick out unless we werent already thinking of it at least subconciously so we all have stargate on the mind!
