Kate Mulgrew fans - she's doing an off-Broadway play...

Hey folks. For any Kate Mulgrew fans out there - she will be starring in a new play by Charles Busch called OUR LEADING LADY. She plays Laura Keane, a 19th-century American stage luminary, preparing to perform at the Ford's Theatre on the night when Abraham Lincoln is in the audience.

It's playing at Manhattan Theatre Club in New York City from Feb. 22 - April 22.

I've never had the pleasure of seeing Kate Mulgrew on stage. She was doing TEA AT FIVE (playing Katherine Hepburn) for a while in NY and I never got around to seeing her. Drat!

    That's awesome!

I live in NZ so I didn't get to see Tea at Five, but my friend gave me the CD of it for my birthday. It's really amazing!

Thanks VERY much for this info I'm a big Kate Mulgrew fan!!

I was lucky enough to get tickets to Tea at Five when it was in NY a few years ago for Christmas and I didn't know she was doing another off-broadway play *feels like a bad fan for not keeping up*

That's okay. I'm a fan of Kate's, but not to the point where I know other messageboards to spread the word. If you know of other places that might want to know, please feel free to pass it on.

I'm actually fortunate enough to know two other actors in the show, so when you add all that up, I am gonna *have* to buy a ticket!

If I'm in NY during those dates, I will make a point to go and see her play.
