    Stargate Simulator

I've mentioned this in some other threads, but I thought I'd give it its own thread.

I made this Stargate/DHD Simulator in Flash:

    http://tinyurl.com/ykayck

The goal is to dial the five planets it challenges you to dial, and, there's a bit of a Toy Surprise at the end.

Note: if you comment on this thread, try not to give away the ending for those who haven't given it a spin yet.

Yeah, I liked it. It was cool..! I especially liked the...

I found another one, that I think was designed to be part of an actual game or something (likely Stargate Worlds...). It is of MUCH higher quality (no disrespect intended at all..! I couldn't do ANY of it. ), that is very cool too. But you have to download it to play with it. You can find it at http://stargateworlds.filefront.com/...imulator;40905

You can send SG Teams, UAV's, or MALPs through the gate. It has an entire library of Stargate Addresses as part of the program, and it also occaisonally has offworld activations that could be allies or enemies. The screen looks exactly like the computer screens that Walter uses on SG-1. Apparently you can also control the Iris as well as activate the base self-destruct sequence but I'm still trying to figure it out exactly.

With the UAV's you have the option of attempting to communicate with SG-1 (basically Hammond calling them on the radio) or using the UAV to send telemetry back through the gate so the SGC can fire missiles through the stargate to take out enemy positions.

With the MALP you can pan the camera up, down, left, and right as well as zooming in and out. I sent the MALP to Chulak, and Cimmeria and it showed the scenes taken right out of the show for those worlds. You can even pan over to see the stargate active. On Cimmeria you can see the gate and also Thor's Hammer (or the device by the gate attached to the hammer anyways).

With the SG Teams you can send any team from SG-1 to SG-14 through the gate for whatever amount of time you specify. You can even send them all through the gate. I did have SG-4 come back hot, with nasty flying bugs chasing them through the gate. (Like SG-1 did...)

Some of the various offworld gate activations I've seen so far (besides SG-4), were the Tok'ra, Master Bra'tac, Jonas Quinn, the Retu, and Apophis. Sokar even makes a call sometimes and destroys you.

I've yet to send a MALP through all the worlds yet, so I'll be curious to see what cookies I might be able to find. I still haven't figured out how to use it all exactly. At the bottom of the screen is a small keyboard icon, that you click and a 'big' keyboard with the stargate symbols pops up for you to use when dialing the gate. As the chevrons lock (with Walter calling them out in order), the symbols come up on the screen just like it does with the SGC computer. Very cool...

I've had this for a while, here are some extra things:

Press delete and it installs a ZPM and dials atlantis, or press insert and you it dials othala,

I should point out here that anybody who is worried about the symbols moving too fast isn't really understanding the nature of the puzzle. You don't have to decipher the moving symbols to operate the D.H.D.
