Well, i'm not sure weather or not to trust the source, but the wikia says this:

I seriously doubt that the Asgard would use Naquadria as a powersouce since it can be found only on 1 planet, hard to extract in sufficient amounts and above all, highly volatile.

Also the O'neill class ship was designed (and blown up) long before Kelowna (and before we ever even heard of Naquadria) was discovered.

the fact that O'Neills are pretty much the same size, but with no external signs of generators, and far greater power output (judging by shield strength and weapon power), would seem like a hint to me.

A hint at better power generation, perhaps, and even than it might simply be more advanced shields/weapons, either way it says nothing about the power source or fuel, if any, type. Naqaudria doesnt seem all that powerfull anyway, just better than what we/gould use.

Exactly and the asgard are a ALOT smarter than the gould who came up with it (and they failed sort of)

Neutrino Ion Generator. I think. Just call them NIGs and people will know. I wouldn't use Naquadria in any ship. I don't trust the instability. The wrong thing done, a minor malfunction, and boom! Space toast. Yum.

Data: CE/CG-340, Heroine class: A new class of warship, that will be built primarily by Earth’s allies. Close to the original Prometheus in size, it will be essentially a gun and missile ship. Much in the way a guided missile destroyer is in a modern Navy. The new ship will not usually carry F307's as it is envisioned the vessel will be capable of defending itself and a carrier from multiple fighter attacks. I reckon that you could have both. I mean think, you can't build something like a Ha'tak ON EARTH without people noticing, and it's hard to ship massive amounts of naquadah and trinium through stargate command. Therefore, if you simply Build it on another planet you have all your problems solved. You could build ships the size of an ori mothership and noone on earth would be the wiser. I'm thinking shipyards, F-302 runways, and stuff like that. you could have the previously suggested al'kesh size ships as a compliment to other ships. Hell you could have a ship so big that a daedalus class ship is like a fighter squadron.

Not only are they using the 304 too much but they are losing to many of them.

Prometheus is still made for 100+ crew members. We need a ship that can operate with one person, but has a support crew of 50 doctors, engineers and other stuff needed to salve a 304.

Agreed. Revisions should be made, but it's the most logical choice for another starship in Earth's fleet.

I'm not sure if that's true. I dont think we can install all Asgard tech in X-303 shell. It would be better to figure what tech we need and design a new ship from zero. And if it happens that this new ship is very like Prometheus, than great. if not, it's still ok, because we have a new ship type.

all asgard technology is gone sans what we have and use.

we should not be afraid of the jaffa, a single 304 can kill a continuum fleet, the odyssey can take the continuum fleet 10x plus anubis' fleet 10x. we'd eat them for breakfast.


offworld construction is stupid, no its insane. the logistics, security. nope, build them on earth. dig a hole, plant a construction site and toss some ground over it. or use asgard holographics. when it's being built, erect a cloaking field

There's not many security threats in building in the Ida galaxy. From what we know, it's most likely empty due to the previous Replicator infestation.

I would like the idea of construction base to be in PG, so we would be able to secure our position in PG and also that Travelers would work with us on that base. Our tech is good, but their guns are better .

I'm good with both of those. The "revised 303" can be called a 305. And I agree about the Travellers, but we should get rid of the Wraith Threat, or at least have those shipyards near Atlantis, if it goes back.
